Gotta say, this is a great performance. I did all three of the Gawthrop pieces of which you speak in high school, but this one may very well be my favorite.
@Tommiewashere "Sing me to Heaven" is quite similar to "There is Sweet Music Here". Slow and dissonant. I absolutely love both of them. My favorite version I've heard of Sweet Music is sang by a men's choir... Awesome in itself.
@SSgtTJ thank you so much! I haven't heard Sing Me to Heaven yet, is it similar to this? The CWHS varsity women's choir sang Gawthrop's There Is Sweet Music and it was gorgeous. I unfortunately don't have the recording :(
Got straight superiors at Concert Festival with this song. I love this song so much.
This song is an outstanding piece of fine art music!
Such a beautiful piece, sang this in high school.
Gawthrop is amazing. We're singing "Sing me to Heaven" in our Varsity Mixed Choir. This was phenomenal.
A much more graceful rendition than the 2012 MMEA interpretation. Nice job Cypress Woods!
