  • Essential oils have been around for centuries. Ancient civilizations were well aware of their therapeutic qualities and used them frequently for relaxation and meditation.
Essential oils haven't changed much over the millennia, but the way in which they are diffused has.

The process of dispersing incredibly aromatic oils like bergamot into the environment has developed over the centuries from simple to sophisticated. You don't need a qualification in chemistry or physics to understand how aromatherapy diffusers work.
You will find it helpful, though, to know the ins and outs of how each different type of essential oil diffuser works. Once you do, you'll be able to choose the right diffuser for the surroundings you want to use it in.
The 4 ways that essential oil diffusers work are:
    • Evaporation
    • Heat dissemination
    • Nebulisation
    • Ultrasonics
Watch this video to learn more about each way that essential oil diffusers work so that you may pick the best one for you.
The handcrafted diffusers we make at Volant, use ultrasonic sound waves. How? An electrically powered vibrating plate in the base of the diffuser creates a continuous series of inaudible oscillations. These silent waves rise through the oil-impregnated water and atomise it to a finely scented vapour before dispersing it into the atmosphere. They're a stylish, effective and ecological method of enjoying the benefits of aromatherapy in your home or at work. We love our ultrasonic diffusers, and we are certain you will too.

Wowwwwwww I was staring at my ultrasonic diffuser (not even knowing it's called that lol) wondering if the water is hot or how it's working and was NOT expecting it to be that!!! Super cool 😎 Thanks for the video! Very concise and to the point but also friendly and palettable (spelling??? If it's even a word haha)

I picked this up for work. My last one was smaller czcams.com/users/postUgkxtD9aJ2m6GU-X1IChQxjn9l31K1A7Kpwj and cuter but the motor burned out within a few months. This one's footprint is a tad bigger but it still doesn't eat up a lot of desk space. Its size and shape blends into the background nicely. This has a good size water container so I don't need to refill more than once a week. I use filtered (not distilled) water because cleaning up after our hard water is tough at work. I like that this has several settings. It's also very quiet. (I have a silence naxi in the next cubicle.) It also hasn't left that terrible while powder, so far, that some humidifiers leave. Been using this for a month or so now and am very happy with my purchase.

The core of ultrasonic diffusers is a 1.7 Mhz driver that drives a piezoelectric disk wich is a small and flat speaker

Do you think these type of diffuser work/smells better than the humidifier that has oil trays like Levoit, Everlast, etc. Thank you!!

It depends, there are a lot of good diffusers out there. We can only speak to our own. It's not cheap, but it is environmentally friendly, silent, effective and doubles as a beautiful piece of decor. You can learn more at volantaroma.com

I don't understand why everyone is so upset about someone smiling, is that what the world is now? Have to criticize something? Never mind that the video was pleasant to listen to and informative. Their voice was delivered well and quite frankly if your looking for this video then all the information you could want is contained in it, I do not understand the hate tbh
