    I've had my ix6820 for almost 6 years. I havent had any problems since. Definitely worth the buy! I've been using third party inks for 2 years now. Haven't had any issues with that either.

    • @TheInkBuildUp
      @TheInkBuildUp  Před rokem

      That's awesome. I had a few issues but very easy to handle. I was surprise at the the 3rd party ink cartridges work very well for my prints. Only issue I have is that, that part on the back of the printer that you raised up to load the paper broke. I super glued it but the other end broke, so, now, I have to raise that part and lean it against the wall to load the paper and not have it fall down. That's the only downside, other than that, the print quality is amazing, even with third party ink.

      What do you do with the other colors do u just fill it all with black since your only using it for screen printing or just put black in black and regular print ink in the others

    get the roll of film and cut it to size with a paper cutter its cheaper and works just as good. i do it myself saves money instead of wasting on sheets

      Yes, that's what I'm planning on doing. Reason I got the rotary cutter.

    Hi Amigo! I've just printed off my first positive using a canon ix6850, I think it's basically the same as your ix6820. I'm using illustrator to print from. I have the same kind of film as you and I have the settings as you have shown to do them. How dark opaque is your positive. If I hold mine up to the light bulb I can see the light bulb through it. Is that ok? I haven't tried to expose a screen yet because I have to wait a few days to get my emulsion. Thanks again for your videos. They really help.

    • @TheInkBuildUp
      @TheInkBuildUp  Před 3 lety

      Well Amigo, my films are pretty dark. Not 100% perfect but dark enough where I don't really face problems with, and that's with using third party ink cartridges. And glad the videos help out.

    What are the problems with printing borderless????

    • @TheInkBuildUp
      @TheInkBuildUp  Před 3 lety

      on the printing options, it said's that it will increase the dimensions a bit in order to make that happen. I stop doing it because there was a time where I had to reprint some damage films from a multi color print, and I couldn't rememeber what I use and the films came out wrong. but either way, I can only see myself printing borderless if my print is basically taking the entire width of the film. If its a small print I don't really see a point of printing borderless. But now as I think about it, this could make a good subject for a future video. Cause I want to clear this out. So thank you for this question.

    • @TheInkBuildUp
      @TheInkBuildUp  Před rokem

      @@johnseber949 Not sure what you mean. But, I use the printer just like any other printer. When I print films, I print in grayscale so it will only use the black ink. When my ink cartridges run out, I replace them, but I end up switching the black more often since that's the ink I used the most.
