One of the greatest payoffs in gaming history, waiting for this moment for 17 years, knowing all the pain and hurt Kratos has gone through, and the game doesn’t render the image. This is the most DSP thing ever and I can’t stop laughing.
This kind of thing seems to happen to DSP with above average frequency. I think he attracts these events with always talking bout glitches and games cheating against him.
I’m so happy this ending was ruined for him.

With all the salt from optional bosses because of how under leveled Phil is, Santa Monica has failed making this game Phil proof, despite using him as a guide on how to make this sequel.
I say it with people who think they can "CinemaSins-Proof" a movie/story, but I think it also applies here with devs thinking they can "DSP-Proof" a game:
You can't idiot-proof something when that person is *willingly* choosing to be an idiot.
He just finds new ways to be an idiot, yeah. Guess they should use a different study object. With Phil, it's the equivalent of taking a lobotomized, paraplegic lab rat. There's just no way to make a maze it can solve!
As soon as I found out Santa Monica used Phil as an example. It all made sense as to why this game treated me like a fucking idiot.
I cannot wait to have my life and soul trained on my body, watching 9 hours of DSP
They need to have just a movie with an occasional "Press X to defeat enemy" on the screen.
DSP's perfect game.
-Enemies ask permission before they attack you.
-Every puzzle's solution is one step and obvious.
-Combat is flashy and not challenging
-Enemies attack you very slowly to keep up with his horrible reaction time
-All the best gear is given to you.
-All your moves automatically unlock after a couple hours.
-There's absolutely no romance or people showing any interest in each other. (We wouldn't wanna upset Kat)
-No penalty for dying/faling
-The game autosaves every five seconds, because having to replay a section in a video game is the worse torture a human being can endure.
-Unlimited healing
-Auto aim for everything, and every shot is a headshot/kill
-NPCs do all the work during combat.
-Free
-And finally he can milk it endlessly for his pay pigs.

Phil would still find a way to have difficulty with that game.
You got nothing wrong there. You got everything correct. He still failed many times in this game though. Kind of embarassing, given Sony dumbed it down so much, it became crappy movie.
And it was LITERALLY made for DSP, he was used as a case study duing development.
I love that every action game that doesn't let him mindlessly mash the attack button is now "Dark Souls."
EDIT: He definitely lowered the difficulty during the Sisters/Svipdagr fight. Not only is he doing more damage, but he's targeting the mages and clowning the whole time. It's especially obvious when he starts the fight with the whirlwind+blizzard combo because he's hitting the Sisters much harder than he ever did before. Transparent as hell.
You can so tell he lowered it. You can see a basic axe swing was doing half the damage it was in the previous segment yet he’s got the exact same gear. Also the overacting tell he does when he is lying is a dead giveaway 😂
You gotta love how Phil always says "he" instead of "me" or "I". It's always "he's punching the wrong way!", "he's staring at the wall!", instead of "I'm punching the wrong way" or "I'm staring at the wall." It's not my fault dude there's nothing I could do!!
Gotta get my popcorn to watch "God of Beg: I Can't Block" Can't wait for the part where he fights the God of Taxes, Mortgage, Takeout and Streaming Services

Let's be honest: Phil is the reason why the game can't let you solve puzzles on your own. It's all DSP's fault.
He actually is seriously. They used his gameplay as an example of how to make the next game so they made the puzzles baby proof but somehow not Phil proof

Just might be. Remember Black Mesa and the Curse of the Crouch-Jump? That was back all the way when it was in beta. In the full release, there's an auto crouch-jump feature. You can toggle it, but no doubt it wouldn't be there if it weren't for the likes of Phil.

I love how any time he mentions the "slow chat," the first thing he brings up after that is how he's enjoying the game. As if that should translate directly into an ocean of messages and tips. What does he expect? Messages like "Wow Phil you look like you're really having fun, this is awesome!" flooding his chat nonstop?

I love how he kept trying to fight Haderfill and Beigadr underleveled like he was trying to prove something. All the while just playing on medium difficulty, which isn't really a challenge. I wonder what was going through Phil's brain (if anything)

I wasn't aware of him being Santa Monica's guinea pig but knowing that the way your teamates will shout out answers 2 seconds into a puzzle makes sense lol
It was fr so annoying lol. I understand some people may not be interested in the puzzle aspect, but they could've at least given us the option to disable it.

I love how Phil thinks parries--which are a high risk/high reward mechanic in EVERY game ever--should be completely free in this game. (And they actually are MUCH easier here than in, say, Dark Souls or the like, but Phil thinks if he presses the block button, he should automatically score a parry every time.)
Atreus: "Father, right side!" Phil gets hit from the right. "OH HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW HE WAS GUNNA COME FROM THE RIGHT?!?!"
Atreus: "Enemy is up above." Phil gets hit by a projectile from above "OHHHHH COME ON ITS COMPLETELY UNFAIR!"

I'll be the first to admit that the Svipdagr fight is tough, but dying more than 100 times? I'm pretty sure I've beaten entire Souls games with less deaths lol.
Only reason I died was I was playing on Give me God of War. But one hundred times straight? Jesus that should be a new record.

It would've been waaaaay more than 100+, but he cheated. He lowered the difficulty and searches for the strat.. He starts all confidently and goes with the sisters first after he was stuck fighting svip and only svip. We already know he has no shame, 'cause he did the same with malenia.
9 hours...if there is a heaven, Outsyder can skip me in line and get in a little earlier. It's the least he deserves for sacrificing his life-clock for all of us 🙏🏼

I still drop nearly everything to put those Outsyder TIHYDPs on. Big movies have been awful for a long time, so seeing your videos is the closest I come to having that kind of anticipation for a film. Except those videos are even longer and I watch them over several days, lol.
I don't even like God of War games and never have, but man what really annoys me is his stupid hats. The dents should give the money to Outsyder instead, for making TIHYDP which is the only format that can make Phail watchable and even entertaining.

Phil is the man of obscure illnesses. I thought gout didn't exist anymore until I heard of Phil and I've never heard of someone getting an ear infection from headphones. I wear mine daily for quite long periods and I admit I don't clean the muffs as much as I should and it never crossed my mind I would get an ear infection or ever got one from it.
Diet has a lot to do with ear infections actually and we all know how terrible Phil's diet is.

Baby difficulty, berserker armor, runic attack spam, fury life save button. Wow. Literally play the game the exact same way as 2018, so fun. They added so much to this game to change up playstyles and it's all viable even on gmgow. Maybe no one watched his playthrough because he played as boring as possible.
You need to put 0:00 before the first chapter of 04:00, then the chapters will work.
Also, hope you're doing fine, looking forward to your Elden Ring version, can't wait :D

the dark elves were better in the first game? from what i can see they do the same attacks. those orbs they drop, the dashing away, all the same in 2018. but i guess phil is known for praising previous games for no reason, no matter how mad he got. dude's wearing perpetual rose-tinted glasses
Guys gets salty when accused on playing on easy. Usual Phil behavior right there.
Not to mention the person he keeps bringing up that "lost to the bear" was playing on the hardest difficulty and Phil refuses to acknowledge that factoid. He kept trying to dunk on his detractors and that guy by saying he died at boss that Phil "had no problem" with.
