Build and manage a Maximum Security Prison. As the sun casts it’s early morning rays on a beautiful patch of countryside the clock starts ticking. You’ve got to crack on and build a holding cell to detain the job lot of maximum security prisoners that are trundling to your future prison on their yellow bus. As your workmen lay the last brick you don’t have a moment to let them rest as they need to get started on the first proper cell block so you can make room for the next prisoner intake. Once they’ve all got a place to lay their weary heads the fun can really start.
You’ll need a canteen, infirmary and a guard room, oh, and don’t forget to plumb in a toilet, or things will get messy, but what about a workout area? Or solitary confinement cells? Or an execution chamber?
Inspired by Dungeon Keeper, Dwarf Fortress and Theme Hospital and with over 1 million players having spent time inside, Prison Architect is the world’s best lock-em-up.
    Story Mode:
Prison Architect opens with the story of Edward, a man facing the electric chair for committing a crime of passion. This is followed by four additional chapters focusing on different characters and aspects of prison life. From Mafia Dons to power-crazed senators, Prison Architect has them all! To bring these characters to life, Introversion teamed up with award winning professional writer Chris Hastings, producing an enthralling tale of corruption and human misery set against the background of the modern prison industrial complex.
    Escape Mode:
Finished your supermax? Got guard dogs roving every corridor and prisoners eating out of your hand? Now you can live the horror by firing up escape mode and play as a prisoner hell-bent on getting the hell out of dodge.
Dig a tunnel, go for the armoury or start a riot and slip out in the chaos, it’s entirely up to you! Figure out how to escape from your own creation, or hit the random button and load one of the 12,000 prisons created by the steam community, whichever you choose it’s not going to be easy...

I published the wrong save(my bad). I turned the mutator on and turned off perm day. Also added metal detectors and land to dig up to. But good improvisation, it was meant to be escaped by tunneling.

Ive been watching for a bit, and I want to see how a relatively "easy" escape would change if you were forced to follow the prison schedule? So no running around during, say, eating time; you have to go to the cafeteria. It limits tunneling to sleep/lockup, and would make finding objects harder outside work/freetime. Just a thought, love this series!

The dog in the cell block couldn't detect your tunnel because dogs can't detect tunnels in foundations. Whether escape plans are on or not is completely irrelevant, either way dogs can detect tunnels.

I always thought that dogs couldn’t detect through the foundations, even with escape plans on. I could be wrong on that one, but I remember watching someone’s playthrough years ago where they had to change the prison design because the dogs couldn’t sniff them out

when they added Island Bound they should have added the ability to hijack a helicopter if you have a weapon

I would have went for absolute prison collapse. (Small prison with low population of gaurds) + (Limited entrance by helicopter) = Unstoppable riot

Could've recruited someone who had their cell closer to the wall and used that as a start. Not all that much faster, but a good and easy use of 1 rep

I dont know much about the game mecanics and so on but cant you just hide in the waterpart if the tunnel and use a recruit to jumo in and out of it so he gets caught?

No-one else gonna mention how between leaving the cell block for the reccy tour and returning with the hammer and pickaxe, the assigned cell had changed?
He was in the 3rd cell along in the top row when he left the block, but by the time he returned he'd been moved to the 2nd cell along on the bottom row.
I thought I was going mad, I had to go back and rewatch, just to make sure.

This can happen, usually when a prison is full. You'll be assigned to a cell that is already occupied, but then moved to a free one later on. At least that's my take on it.

      @@OfficialStuffPlus Don't worry, it wasn't a dig at you.
It just passed without remark in either the video or the comment section section so I just needed to do a sanity check.
Thanks for the explanation. Love your content.

Hey, did you see my other comment about my backrooms prison? I put a ton of effort into it and I think it'd be great for this series
