- Vince Staples 2017 album "Big Fish Theory" turned 5 this year. Let's explore the many aspects that make this project a unique and boundary pushing piece of art.
Do you agree with my take on the Big Fish Theory? Let me know your opinion in the comments. - Hudba
It’s funny as much as I love Beyoncé and Drake… Vince was bringing dance and rap together way before anybody
YES! I AM SO GLAD SOMEONE SAID THIS!!
Dance and Rap were brought together before you were born since rap evolved out of euro electro with acts like Afrikaa Bambaataa
azealia banks made 1991 ep in 2012 tho
getting sophie flume jimmy edgar gta and bon iver to help produce an album should be illegal. one of the coolest albums sonically and lyrically
^^
Yo this dude is underrated as hell
easily one of my top ten records of all time. vince is a singular, unparalleled artistic force in his field- yet still so underrated
Damn, I didn't know big fish theory was that deep.
I wanted a Sophie executive produced hiphop record so damn bad its so unfair. RIP Sophie
Insanely underrated project by Vince. It's my favorite album by him and deserves so much more attention and praise. Glad more people and channels are speaking out about it. Excellent project with insanely good production.
I was listening to this album two days ago and thought the same, it sounds like nothing else, truly unique. I think it will achieve cult status in the future.
Also it helped me go through a rough time back in 2018, so thanks Vince.
Glad to know other people think so highly of this album
I'm happy someone else appreciates this as much as I do.
my aux broke in my car in 2017, I bought BFT and flowerboy on cd and that was my driving music for the next year and a half.
I became a Vince fan after her self-titled in 2021 and have enjoyed his most recent release of Ramona Park Broke My Heart as well. Really great video, I think I'm going to visit his older projects starting with this one after watching this.
When Vince came out with this album it was such a left turn for him and I loved it immediately I've been a huge Vince way before BFT but that album just made me more of a Vince fan
video suggestion: make a video about wlr and the history behind it and the already influence it has on modern day rappers today
Check His previous video it lightly touches on this topic
His tape with Larry Fisherman is so nostalgic to me. I wish it was on streaming sites
well its on soundcloud
@@joelkivisto and CZcams too. I just don’t really use SoundCloud anymore. They’re both just not the most convenient for me, but first world problems- I know haha
@@rufinodufino5626 Yeahh i get that. I usually dont go out my way to go to soundcloud or youtube when im on my phone so i get you
This album got me into Rap. It got me onto Norf Norf and changed my whole view of the genre. Vince Staples deserves his flowers.
ive said it before and i'll say it again coz they dont wanna hear me. vince is the true kanye heir. no album sounds the same. creative videos. REAL lyricism without necessarily being super technical (he can be). good interview. just good, funny, intelligent person. no reason why he shouldnt be seen as a heavy hitter. but then again, he doesnt care. and he getting that bread. so we chillin lol
insta subbed btw coz great vid :)
I think its jpegmafia but I see your reasoning.
@@hjblacdes61 not gonna lie to you i dont really listen to peggy like that but he cool
@@dr.strawberry5773 i wasn't too big on him either, I really liked Veteran but because im kinda at the age where new shit kinda blows past me now that and a few loose cuts were the only things i checked. But i recently went back and listened to his whole catalog and he basically instantly jumped up my list of favorites. I'm mad I aint do it sooner
@@hjblacdes61 bet ill check it out and let u know
I wasn't a fan of the album at first. It was so different from what he was doing. Within a few months I absolutely fell in love with the album. A masterpiece
this is the album that made me fall in love with him. My favorite rapper oat
Vince quickly became one of my favorite artist
I jumped on the train around 1 year ago, and I'm not disappointed at all, very under-rated
been telling niggas since 2017 this album was his magnum opus (S06 is his best imo). he’s so underrated but those who get it get it fr
Vince is my favorite male rapper. His creative genius is out of this world. It’s good to see someone appreciate his artistry.
His Prima Donna EP is one of the best short form pieces of music i have ever heard. I LOVE IT
Amazing video and dissection, keep creating videos your just as passionate about fam! you have a feel for it for sure 🙏
Love finding a future CZcams GOAT
men, first video I see on yt about this album, hugs from Chile
great video, can't wait to see more, always wanted to make a video on my favourite album (Bon Iver self-titled) and it's impact despite me not making music videos, but you might have just tipped me over the edge. Subbed, keep up the work even when it gets hard!
Hope ur channel blows up! Quality work
Great video! Vince one of my faves and this album doesn’t get enough flowers. Although I didn’t like it initially, it grew on me and think it’s one of his most introspective albums regarding celebrity.
You’re gonna blow up man. Can’t wait for the algorithm to catch your groove.
i just watched science videos, i was sure this was another one. got caught off hella guard, but i was instantly into it 👌🏻 keep on goin bro subbed and will dive into this album ty
amazing video man love this
amazing work thank you!
I love this album. But it's also interwsting that he's distanced himself from the sound with his next albums.
I wonder if he will ever return to the sound, or if it just wasn't meant to be
I agree! I wish Vince had explored this sound even further but I think that at the end of the day Vince rarely sounds the same album to album. He probably doesn’t want to make the same thing twice
love this one, really marked my high school era
This was a great vid
So cool! Shoutout from Brazil
Keep up the good work bro! 🔥
Awesome video. Vince really pushed Hip-Hop to its potential with this album, even if it’s not seen in that light..yet? lol. Hope he makes a slight return to electronica type music though.
great video!
Keep going dope content
This is a great video.
Damn thats dope keep going bruh
Great video
theory: people didn't like it at first (some still don't) cause it has uk garage influence in the production and vince is american so they aren't used to it and shit on it for no reason
my personal favourite album of all time
Hey man. I love this video and I hope you continue to make videos like this, a bit of constructive criticism would be to get rid of the border you have or at the very least make it smaller and have it match the color of the video, the border is quite distracting as it can leave the viewer less immersed in the video. Ultimately not having as big of an impact as you would like and/or may not receive as much watch time as the viewer might be more distracted.
Your videos are good
Omg ily what a good video
super underrated vid
With the 22, 5 shot eyes on scan
For the click, clack, clap or the boop, bop, bam, 'cause!
