I remember this when it was aired. It was the “make poverty history” campaign. Her husband at the time was a very big supporter of children in need and comic relief which helped areas like the one shown in this episode. But because of that I do remember some backlash from this episode, saying it was political or something. The whole point of the make poverty history was to call upon government bodies to clear the debt of 3rd world countries.
