I've got the 39mm and really love it. I have the silver/white dial. While I love the blue one I really wanted a subtle light coloured dial.. it really fit the bill.

I had the pleasure of trying it on at my local Omega boutique a few months ago and loved it. This watch is definitely on my wish list. Stay tuned!
The watch has so much history and the design is spot on and.. for this price you just dont get a annual calendar. However i think it is like al things a matter of taste :) I really liked the black dial version but it looks like they dont make that variation anymore. Regarding the comment that Omega should make up their mind and that there are to many dial options. I can only say different people different tastes. Better to have more options than a forced few. 😉😄
Hi. In 1952 the globemaster did not have the name on the dial. They just removed the constellation name and it just shows a star. I have seen a few photos of them. Very rare.
Excellent presentation! As a fellow Globemaster enthusiast and owner (Opaline silver dial), I always enjoy reviewers and fans geeking out about this particular watch, especially since it's probably to most underrated watch in the Omega family, which is criminal. I do really like the annual calendar version of the Globemaster, but the 41mm case is just too large for my 6" wrist. The 39mm is just right, top of my range that I can wear, and I could not go any larger. I think my favorite annual calendar version is the steel dial... there's just something very machined steel, utilitarian about it that I really enjoy... Probably why I went with the more austere Opaline silver version as opposed to the flashier, and generally more favored blue dial version. Just like the original constellation being intended as a "one good watch", my Globemaster is my "one good watch". While I do have a Seiko SKX beating around in a drawer, my Globemaster is my daily watch, and pretty much the only watch I've strapped on since 2018. I do switch between the leather strap, bracelet and an elastic nylon strap to add some variation, though the OEM leather croc strap is my favorite on this watch.
I love the pan-pie reference to the original Constellation. I believe the reason why the Constellation was initially called the Globemaster in the US was due to the threat of legal action from Lockheed. The Lockheed Constellation, one of the first pressurised passenger/military transport aircraft, was in production from 1943-1958.
Lockheed Martin produced an iconic aircraft call the Constellation and by the ‘50s, the Super Constellation aka, Connie. I’m guessing this was the source of the conflict. I’ve seen at least a video or two on CZcams where people seem to think the watch was actually named after the aircraft, unaware there was ever conflict,. These are stunning watches, the green dial is stunning, very much growing on me though I’d probably go for something in 39mm. Would love to see a video on the OP’s vintage collection. Of Constellations for sure.
Very poor presentation of this beautiful watch. Especially much too short representations of the clock! Simply bad! Predominant self-promotion! He should let it be to present watches
I thought it was a very good presentation of the watch, short but with the information you really need... all the detailed specs have been talked about to death (since this is not a new watch), and can be found easily online. The personal connection to the watch is a welcomed addition as typical watch reviews that merely go over the specs can become rather sterile and boring. I didn't see any self-promotion, just honest enthusiasm for the watch, and a notable family connection to the constellation lineage.
