With Dubai's public convenience in mind, RTA is introducing the Nol Card as the way to travel around Dubai. Cash will not be accepted for payment to use Metro, Buses and Water Buses.
A Dubai Metro train comprises of various types of cabins, designated for different types of commuters, which include nol gold card holders cabin, designated group of cabins for women and children and general cabins.
The Dubai Metro network comprises of Red line and Green line routes, both of which, combined, cover the main populated areas of the Emirate. The below map showcases all the metro and tram stations that come under the full rail network, including Red line stations, Green line stations and Tram stations.
Red Line : Red line has 29 total stations, and it covers over 52.1 kilometers. The red line and the green line have different routes. Redline has two stops that connect with the green line so that passengers do not have to travel a long distance to change their line. The two stations where the Dubai metro map connects with greenline are Union Metro station and Bur Juman metro station.
Red line starts from the Al Rashidiya station and ends at the UAE exchange station. Here is a list of all the stations in a sequence that you can find in the red line:

Green Line
The route of the green line is parallel to Dubai metro red line map. It has around 20 stations and covers a distance of 22.5 kilometers that starts from the Etisalat station to the Dubai Creek station. In 2011, the green line was launched, but a lot of stations were not functional.

The green line also has a lot of passengers daily because of the route that it has. As per the Dubai metro map, greenline connects the metro station of Etisalat in Al Qusais with the Creek Metro Station. The areas of Deira and Bur Dubai are considered to be highly populated, and the green line covers both of these areas. This line also has 8 underground stations.
The Dubai Tram is an essential part of the public transport network in the city providing maximum convenience, safety and security for passengers. With 11 stations and a route that includes several landmarks such as Dubai Marina and JBR, the Dubai Tram is a convenient way to get from one place to another.
The Dubai Tram was built to link the Dubai Metro with the Palm Monorail along the Jumeirah Beach Road and Al Sufouh Road. It loops around Dubai Marina, Jumeirah Beach Residence and Al Sufouh Road passing through Dubai Media City, Palm Jumeirah and Dubai Knowledge Park.

ACCESSING DUBAI TRAM STATIONS USING THE DUBAI METRO
You can interchange to Dubai Metro and Palm Monorail from specific Dubai Tram stations. Get off the tram at Dubai Marina station and walk over to the DAMAC Properties Metro Station served by the Red Line Metro. Alternatively, board the tram at Jumeirah Lakes Towers station and find a metro at the DMCC Metro Station.
