Racing budds creek pro national and amateur day pro am with dangerboy Haiden Deegan and Daxton bennick on my YZ250 2 stroke, managed to put it in the motos again! - Sport

Well if this isn't proof that the 2 stroke displacement rule is complete BS, I don't know what is. You've got a full factory Star YZ250F worth likely over $30k with a guy that rides and trains 7 days a week against a near stock YZ250 with a privateer who's doing his own maintenance work between motos and taking a pickup truck to Pro Nationals instead of operating out of a factory semi. And the privateer is neck and neck with him, plus consistently puts a 250 2T into the main against factory 450's. As always, well done Matt. You're the people's champ!

dont get mad towards a kid who have it better, haiden puts in the work and he has worked for what he has now
matt rides and he says he cant wait to take a rest, but haiden also rode 6 motos and yet the day after this race he went straight to training vs the star pro guys and is abck to racing with no rest ... that's the difference
I guess it goes to show that deagan isn't that fast.

Haven't been to budds in 6 years started watching these vids earlier in the season and I knew I had to drive down there from jersey to cheer this dude on and he did not disappoint. Wore out my airhorns on sat in the off camber every lap he came by. I came by after and found him he's the coolest cat in the (or out) of the paddock for sure. GET SOME at iron man!

This was buy far the best motocross video I've seen. Hard working amateur, no frills accept the race Tacoma 🤣and what impressed me most was no complaining... I mean a national and 6 motos the next day in rain? Bravo, Matt you truly are an inspiration.

Absolutely love what you are doing. Two strokes rule and the nationals just aren't the same since the switch to four strokes. Thank you for sharing your journey. Look forward to each week to see how you do. Qualifying for a national is no easy task, let alone doing so on a two stroke. If you do this again next year you should set something up so us followers can donate to help with your travel expenses. God knows the true privateers get no help from the ama/mx sports. It cracks me up when kids like Deegan have all the money and resources and get a factory ride, and you're on a 250 two stroke at the sake pace as him. Would love to see you on that factory team with a factory bike and all that!
Hahaha I love your point but unfortunately on a national track for 30+2 I wouldn’t even be close! There’s a reason he is where he is and I am where I am, I’m having a blast doing what I’m doing and just hoping to pick up as much support as I can!
The TV dont show how big the jumps are compared to your footage..that downhill triple jeez!
The first corner of moto 1 was awesome ..everyone steeming in and you just picked up 8 places or so on the inside.
Got lucky sneaking around that inside!
Plus gave me that Deegan footage I’ve been waiting for early 👍🏻
Focus your mind to see yourself racing the pro as you did chasing down deegan. your riding is very good. you are finishing in the top 30 in the world on the us tracks. very good young man.
It’s more the tracks I’m struggling with than the riders. Gonna give it one more shot this weekend though!
