I don’t know if anyone has told you but there’s a whale in the mv and bts have made a song called whalien 52 which is about a whale that would try to talk to other whales and to speak to the world but this specific whale only communicates with a frequency of 52 Hz which is really high and that’s why no other whales can hear this individual whale. And In this mv it shows the whale giving the bts members a ride to the top which can mean they were exactly like this lonely whale but now all of army can hear them

- the intro with the blue bighit logo (their old one was orange with blue background)
- it then turning into the wall of their old dance practice studio and Joon wearing his Boy With Luv outfit confronting his debut days self in a "Reflection"
- Jungkook walking down the street of the No More Dream MV in their debut stage outfit
- him turning into Tae walking into the We Are Bulletproof pt 2 MV and the glasses being sh0t or punched off is actually his part in the No More Dream choreo
- it then turns into Hobi who walks into the N.O MV
- it then turns into Jin walking down an empty hallway in the Boy In Luv MV
- which then turns into the set of Danger with Jimin walking in his We Are Bulletproof pt 2 outfit
- the thorny monster arms, shattering glass, everything falling to pieces and the "black ocean" (fandoms joined forces to not have their lightsticks on during an award show to show their disliking of BTS) are all the hate, antis, defamation and other things they have faced
- Namjoon falling into a big dark ocean hit me especially hard, cuz he was a very (I don't wanna say depressed but he literally has a therapist and I think all the hate did cause him mental pain) sad person for a while. It shows a lot in his fashion back then (all black), his studio set up (all black), his earnest demeanor and his first mixtape (and also his 2nd where he finally let go)
- the shattered shards chasing Yoongi in his I Need U outfit also hits hard, cuz around that era, when they first won on a music show the hate got really bad (when they were accused of copying other groups and bulk buying albums etc. cuz they won first place)
- the small amount of purple lights who help Joon resurface of course being the veteran Army who stood by them when they had no one else (most peers/idols looked down on them, so did their fans and especially the industry and companies)
- them standing up and the cherry blossoms signifying the Most Beautiful Moment era (that really meant a lot to us and them) really hit me, especially when it turned into Joon walking towards "us" in the Young Forever MV set with the other 6 😭
- they then all run through the I Need U, Run, Blood Sweat and Tears and Not Today MVs in their Run/Fire era hairstyles but debut outfits signifying that they stayed the same humble guys
- they run towards the Spring Day MV tree and sit in a bonfire circle from the I Need U MV but they're wearing their Wings Tour Final concert outfits
- and here is where it gets really painful ✋😭:
- the whale is a reference to the song Whalien 52 which is a whale no one can hear in the ocean so he is alone, but he carries the boys into heaven aka the stage and Army (the purple glowy things) are their galaxy
- the Army galaxy turns into the shape of a concert hall/stadium that resembles Wembley and the way they're standing away from each other on stage suggests it's the "Born Singer" performance
- they then stand together on stage, Hobi holding a MAMA award and all of them crying: it's a combination of their ending speech from the Wings Final concert that was very very heartfelt (Joon's "lessen your pain from 99 to 98 etc." being quoted a lot from that day) AND the 2018 MAMA speech when Hobi cried and they confessed they almost disbanded
- the stage extending to the Army logo which then turns into the Bangtan logo meaning we're one and they have us and we have them ("we are not 7 with you")
- it ending with cherry blossom petals and Boy With Luv outfits meaning they're happy now and some people said it stopped there cuz they didn't have the chance to be with us during the Map of the Soul 7 era yet and cuz BWL was a very happy time for them (many awards won, lots of achievements, the guys being a lot more happy and content with themselves)
Overall a very very heartfelt MV and it made me cry cuz I witnessed it all over the past 7 years and them dropping it on the day their first MV debuted and people ridiculed them for their style etc really hit different
Update: something I read on twitter that rings very true - they take a rest in the Spring Day MV cuz they thought this era was their limit only to be picked up by the whale/us and brought to even higher highs and the biggest stage

This song is just so beautiful and emotional that everytime i watch the mv i get goosebumps and shivers down my spine.
Also in my opinion the whale that BTS are riding (then turns into millions of purple orbs) represent us Armys as we have taken them to places and heights they never thought was possible for a small company group, and it goes through some of their most memorable MVs to the 2018 MAMA awards show where they spoke about almost disbanding to seeing a door opening for them to go thru then they end it with the Boy With Liv era as the still have the ON era to go trough with us Armys.

And their acceptance speech on the MAMA when Hobi starts to cry is just reaally breaks my heart and then they talk about disbanding... I just can't😔

It looked to me like the millions of purple sparkles was a reference to Mikrokosmos because it first shows the sparkles in the shape of an audience at a concert (the army bombs) and turns into stars around them. It kind of reminded me of MMA 2019 when they performed Mikrokosmos that's why.

Firstly the purple whale is a reference from one of their song Whalien 52. The whale represents ARMY who brought them up and they are on the stage in front of a purple ocean.
The way they were standing on the stage was a reference to their song Born Singer.

The part where there is a huge black wave coming on them was a reference to the Black ocean, BTS faced in 2016 ( basically it means that nobody from the crowd switched on their lightsticks while BTS was performing on stage in an award show, and it was pitch black. This is how they walk from the front stage to the main stage followed by the song Boy with luv.
When they were on the stage with an award in there hand was from MAMA where nearly each member cried because theh won all the major awards that night.

And now - seeing these amazing talented young men who have come so far, makes me soar! They have always let ARMY know how important they feel we are to them. They never fail to impress me. These guys have not had it easy - yes they are worldwide sensations but the road was not easy - they fought for everything. The thing I love is that even though they are so incredibly huge now, they have remained themselves, there is no pretence to these boys - they are still humble and respectful, still amazed at how and why ARMY supports them. The MV shows scenes from their other music videos, in order, as they came out. Starting with No More Dream. The checkerboard, with V tossing his head and throwing off his glasses is from We Are Bulletproof P2. When RM is in the water, drowning, the purple lights of ARMY come and that's when he starts swimming to the surface. The whale is from their song, Whalien 52. The scene where they're all standing on the stage, crying, actually happened in late 2018, at one of the award shows. They spoke about almost breaking up early 2018 and they all cried. This video has so many references and such deep meaning to ARMY, new and old, covering so many events that have happened throughout the years. ARMY all over the world is crying over this.

This song and mv made me really cry, I mean I cry a lot to every BTS song especially songs dedicated to all ARMYS. This reminds me of the first day I saw BTS and became an ARMY(the year 2014). I'm the type of fan who can't afford to buy any of their merch, albums or even watch their concerts. But, my love and support grow deeper as time goes by. Even if I can't have their merch and more I will stay with them forever. I will always be here for them to protect them from all the negativity, support them with all my might, and love them unconditionally. They literally save me from falling to a deep depression, I have my family and trusted friends and of course BTS as a source of strength in battling depression. They're not just an Idol for me, they're my inspiration and one of the elements to complete my life. I'm literally crying since they released this and even watching it over and over again, also when watching reactors.

I've been Army for only 3 years but I can say I went through a lot, from facing kpoppies, haters, racist, media, influencer and locals, everyday they will do something to make bts and Army look bad for no reason.
I just can imagine how hard it must be for the Army that has been staying with them from the start and went through worst when Bts was gaining their success slowly. You guys were so strong. I'll always be thankful.

It's wonderful to know that from nothing is from being nobody they have become someone, known not only in Korea but all over the world.
