It’s such a tough balancing act, I served with a guy whom was accused of abuse while we were away on training. I was personally with this dude and we were in an entirely different state which thankfully he could prove but his ex wanted to do everything she could to attack his life. I always try to listen to all sides carefully and fully because there’s three sides to the story. His side, her side, and the truth. Just my personal opinion either way I hope justice is served fully for whichever side was wronged.

I commented this in the last video but it's so hard to believe who is telling the whole truth, victims words can easily be twisted in their favor or be blown up in proportion to what actually happened and rock stars can get away with a lot with the right legal team behind them. It also depends if the victims were of age, intoxicated (if he was intoxicated), or they were the ones who wanted to have some sexy fun time but then later spun it off as if he was the one who did. It sounds fishy for sure but Altpress has stated in their apology that they didn't publish it cause they couldn't prove the whole truth. Yes they can get in legal trouble for posting the truth but they can get in even more trouble for posting something that's not entirely true.

To me it kinda looks like another version of Weinstein. People in his position have so much power. The women making these allegations fully understand that if this ever goes to court they'll be attacked & harassed by people. Then they'll go to court and testify, most likely re-traumatising them. So when the victims get threatened, they have a very justified reason to no longer serve as source.
Even though the trauma I have is in no shape or form caused by sexual violence. I can tell you this: it's been nearly 4 years since the incident. I have had trauma therapy etc. But when I talk about certain aspects of what happened, or I am in a position where I need to explain my trauma trigger. I do get frustrated and angry. The person that's responsible for the harm done to me, fails to take responsibility, the laws are so twisted that she doesn't even have to take any responsibility. I often feel like what happened is being twisted by the counter party. People think that I need to get over it, called me weak.
I pressed charges, I know what I signed up for. If my case finds its way to criminal court that means that it has happened again. I know I'll feel guilty, angry etc. I'd have to explain the emotional & bodily damage it's done, how it still effect me to this day. I'll have to decide if it's worth telling how dark things truly got after the incident, hurting and scaring the shit out of people I love. Do I try to keep my ex out of a crossfire and take an emotional beating myself, or will I let her take an emotional beating?

I remember meeting them at 14. I was sobbing because they were the band that saved my life. They especially helped me with getting through bullying and abusive relationships. It really broke me leaving that signing that day because I told Austin and Aaron that they saved my life but not one of them looked up and acknowledged what I said. The only band members that heard me was Alan and Valentino. They were very nice and did say you’re welcome back to me and told me they loved my shirt. Valentino gave me a fist bump too which made the experience a lot better. It hurt me a lot to see Austin not even look at me or say anything, especially after what I said. Just a simple you’re welcome would’ve been enough but he was so in his ego that he could’ve cared less.

Its not really cancel culture when these allegations span to over 10 years from his old band mates to fans who have met him to another pastor saying his wife is also a victim from Austin. I wanted to be biased too..but.. If you having a track record of people saying you prey on underage girls and women in general, there's something to look at here. I wanted to be biased myself, but even OM&M never bothered to talk to him again after 2016. Never posted about him or said anything about him since and you'd think they were close enough to where they'd publicly talk about him. 2 bands hes been in want nothing to do with him..and at some point people have to see it as Austins fault. I feel like his whole Christianity thing is him hiding and trying to have something to cover himself for when all of this did come back up.
Austin was just hoping he'd never have to answer for anything.

Even OM&M never bothered to say anything besides the 3 sentences where they said the condemn sexual violence and said they didn't know. Their response and how they haven't brought him up in years is pretty telling. Austin was the front man and they essentially just treated him like he didn't exist and there's a reason for that.

What if people that are against the bands are starting to group up and make accusations to destroy the bands? Things like this have happened before and could be happening to these bands now, we don't know yet.
Maybe it's from people actually speaking up for themselves? Don't wait to speak up people, speak up as soon as it happens. Defend yourself, don't give in as soon as it happens, fight back.

Cancel culture is when people basically online shame. This is due to A. Having an opinion that is considered controversial or just wrong or B. They did something in the past that was/is considered offensive and people decide to online shame about. Basically, they boycott a celebrity for ether of those reasons.
I have no idea though, how that has to do with the allegations, because in a way, that doesn’t help their case, really. Like, the only thing he had an opinion about was Christianity, like he started believing in it again, but even then, would people really be hating on him for that?
So, with that in mind, it could be a possibility that he did do it, but I am, however, shocked about it, because he doesn’t really seem like the type of person to do that, you know? Ever way, it’s a possibility, but I really don’t know if he did or didn’t. It’s definitely not okay, though to be doing that kind of stuff to woman and children.
I know this reply was kinda long, but I just kinda wanted to tell you what that was, I guess.

thats the thing though, they were taken seriously, at first, and the claims were not found to be substantial. so yeah, so far, until actual proof comes out, hes right and they shouldnt be taken seriously anymore, or at least until they can come up with something batter to back their claims. until then, they are just like that girl who accused Enzo Amore, turned out she made it all up and tried to get her friends to help with the lie.

All of the allegations against Austin is definitely old ass news. Nobody is “just now coming out about this” they have been out about it, but have been swept under the rug. I’m surprised nobody has mentioned the statement Attack Attack! made regarding Austin, and there’s also a video of him mocking a disabled person.

If they can do the same thing to Brett Kavanaugh, I would qualify this is as a part of cancel culture. If there was even remotely enough of a case, they wouldn’t have dropped the allegations. People have been hanged in the public square for far less. This is the culture that we live in, especially if you’re a Christian.

At this point, it is all a mess. I don't know if Austin is guilty or not. But maybe I'm just biased because I enjoy his music and would *otherwise* (if there were no allegations and he was completely clean) respect him. Either way, I hope they really take this seriously and talk to the victim and the "predator" with lie detectors involved. And also, *INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY*

Back in the day there was a tumblr page dedicated to people airing out his dirty laundry including band members girlfriends saying how awful of a person he was (back then) and spoke of how he slept with anyone who crossed his path. if I remember correctly there was a website similar to the dirty where it exposed band members and the person posted pics of Austin allegedly cheating on his then wife (who was preggo)while on tour. Even with all that, people have a right to defend themselves be it in the public or in court. I’m not saying he did it, but the allegations are serious. I actually met austin and went on their bus in my city after the show to do freelance work and he was VERY respectful to me and super polite(im a woman lol). I was also like 23 at the time and bcus of the job I had I had been around celebs/bands so I acted normal and not like an overly excited teen fan if you will. But when I say, the tour bus was a PARTY on a wed night…it was! Everyday is a friday when you’re on tour and GROUPIES GALORE!!

are you oblivious to the fact that when someone becomes famous, women from their past, even if only met in passing will claim assaults to them? in hopes of fame or fortune? it is a common occurrence. To blindly (even passively, as you have) accuse one of such allegations, based on the hearsay testimonies of others (which have already been disregarded, rightfully so), is, in and of itself, defamation, and is disrespectful. Yes, there are absolutely cases of women coming forward against popular or famous individuals, however when one is popular or famous, such accusations need to be carefully scrutinized, as these have. And as was stated, they were unfounded, yet you passively claim they have merit. Such is disgraceful and you need to reconsider your position.

I’m all about hearing people out and innocent until proven guilty. Decades old accusations with no proof except them saying something happened. In this day and time you call a man a rapist with no proof and his life is practically ruined. If this is according to him “ already been investigated and nothing found” and these women are found to be lying for personal gain or financial gain they need to be jailed. If he’s found to be guilty with actual proof he needs to be jailed

Tbh I've met Austin once at warrped tour. He very kind, tbh Austin has stood up for what was right. I personally don't think he would, But we still need to listen to the people who've been attacked. But if you are lying shame on you,. The main people they need to look into sexual assault is blood on the dance floor, Joel Favviar (he's already been caught) Brian stars

I agree with Austin on cancel culture and this witch hunt we find ourselves in at the moment is a huge problem but I also understand what Brian is saying about these women having to be taken seriously. If any of you guys are wrestling fans it just broke that tons of UK pro wrestlers are being accused of abuse and sexual assault amongst other things but reading a few stories it is clear that a lot of those allegations are ridiculous and are drowning out the serious ones in the mix.

I agree that this is both shocking and very hard to believe but it’s still (sadly) within the realm of possibility. Example: Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy, etc. Everyone said it wasn’t possible, they’re too sweet, too nice. So saying “I don’t think they would do that” is not substantial proof of innocence. Granted, those are somewhat extreme examples but still falls under the same umbrella.

Austin Carlile I was one of my heroes growing up, I looked up to him and he was the person who inspired me to become a vocalist and Songwriter. I have a very strong opinion about this and I'll say what I think: it's true that early on in his career he was probably a bit out of sorts but he grew up and did changes to his life, he's not the same person he was 13 years ago. He's married now and he has a stepdaughter who he loves with his heart. Unfortunately mankind loves to create rumors and lies to breakdown people's reputation, remember the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard fiasco and how she made up lies about Depp that weren't true? Well all I'm saying is if he did do those things, I know that's in the past, but it's not who he is now, he'll answer to the universe. I'm not defending him but everyone changes for better or worse, only time will tell
