- G'day Ladies and Gents! Welcome to another episode of the 80 Build! In this episode, we tackled the big job of a complete suspension overhaul, as well as some new flashy wheels and tyres.
A huge shoutout to Superior Engineering for their assistance with parts, as well as All Terrain Industries for their blingy beadlocks. I have been running Superior Engineering suspension on all of my 4WD's, and everything has always withstood the floggings they've been given, so it is awesome to be able to work with them on the new 80!
I am also over the moon about the new AT-01's from All Terrain Industries. For being such a snazzy alloy beadlock, the quality is exceptional, while being a great bang for your buck.
Thank you for all of the recent support on our videos and social media, none of it goes unnoticed. I am super excited about the things to come shortly, as we have some big moves happening behind the scenes. So make sure you stay up to date on our Instagram (@liftedlarrikins) and our website (liftedlarrikins.com)!
Now pull up a chair, crack that beveragino, and enjoy the video!
Can we get a video next of you doing some yard cleanup work please?.
make sure you do a star pattern when doing the beadlocks, ive learnt the hard way
I did, in the timelapse you can just see me getting them nipped down in a circular pattern. I went over everything in a star pattern with the torque wrench, and then around in a circle just to double check torque.
Ratchet straps = coil compressor 🤟🏽
Its a big rig Kempy, looks mint! Well done fellas.
@@OutdoorsCBR Cheers mate! Super happy with it 🤙🏼
I Didn't want to trust those Chinese made spring compressors so I made my own with some 16mm all thread and bushes. When I installed springs in my 80 series.
@@robertgeddes511 I’ve never even thought of doing that. Very cool idea, and something I’ll consider for the future
The shocks you pulled out are a foam cell they dont open up like a normal shock haha so yeah there absolutely fine
Bro, next time put a jack under the diff also, take wheel off and drop diff and springs and shocks go straight it without compressor
@@Brennomac83 True, but also jacking the car up until the wheels want to come off the ground essentially has the same effect. I would prefer to leave the wheels on for safety.
The springs in the rear were just that bloody firm 🤣
Gard on the grinder at all times, plz no joke
@@JGassanova left it at home!
.. trying to think of a reason for it to come off in the first place 🤔
Good onya mate. Good video
@@user-be2xp9bc6k Thanks mate!
Should’ve pulled the wheels off, a lot of easier and allows for more droop
Really should invest in a big wheel jack too
I have an XTM dual piston compressor same as yours...its been flaming useless from brand new. Overheats and cuts out before I've even inflated 2 x 33" tyres.
@@adamedgar5765 Yep, pile of junk. Not impressed at all.
Get some banners going bro I'd rock one on my GQ for sure
@@archerrussell3022 funny you say that, they’re already in the works! Cheers!
How’s the petrol go? I’m looking to buy my first 4wd but to scared of petrol consumption 😂
@@pullingguard1527 Yeah well, let’s just say I spend most of my time at the servo. It’s definitely not a fan of city driving on 35’s. On the highway it’s not too bad.
If your worried about the petrol well let’s just say that’s the least of your worries if I struggle to pay for fuel don’t buy a 4wd
@@michaeljobson105 I didn’t say I struggle to pay for the fuel, I just sent I spend a lot of time at the servo 🤣
I'd guess 30lt per 100 around town, tb48 on 35s do about 30 so this would be similar
daytona coil compressor. your welcome
What offset are the rim and do they poke? Looks mean as
@@jimskfczingerboxes2609 Hey mate, they’re a -20, only the sidewall pokes. Cheers!
I was wondering if you daily this car?
@@Ben-nt7fx Hey mate, at the moment yes I do
like the wheels but to much lift looks stupid
