@@Robinsingh-gz8ps Graduated nearly 2 weeks ago. I passed, was not a bad experience but I wish it could have been better. Was more or less a self-study bootcamp...maybe 30-45mins of "lecture" followed up with 3 hours of breakout rooms to work on activities or projects. Most peers had cams/mics off, hence the self study. Some of the course work was wrong in instructions or not edited correctly but over all not a BAD experience, just holy moly ...not for the price. I could have used that money towards HacktheBox labs and CompTIA certs. 12 weeks of fast paced info, I learned yes, but I don't feel completely prepared to be dropped in a security analyst role, maybe its imposter syndrome. But I plan on doing extra certs and getting more lab practice while looking for a job.

I'm just about finished with the bootcamp. They give you a Sec+ exam voucher. They somewhat touch on the questions on the exam and exam prep but not as much as I would've liked. I paid for the Dion Training course as well as purchased the cyberkraft training exam prep questions. They have PBQ examples which Fullstack doesn't go over. Feel free to ask me any questions you have about the bootcamp
This will depend on your situation! I have colleagues working in cybersecurity with a degree or from a bootcamp or switched in from a completely different field through transfers. I usually recommend the bootcamp route if you’re not in a position to go back to a 2-4 year degree program, while some companies still have a degree requirement, many of them prefer certs/relevant projects and experience. I hear some people say you have to start out at the help desk position before landing actual engineering roles. Would this bootcamp be enough to make me hirable as an actual engineer? Thanks and love your channel!
Both are routes you can take! I think the key differentiator is whether or not you’re already working on technical cybersecurity projects and how well you talk about them on your resume/interviews. I started my career in a cybersecurity rotational program so it was a bit more entry level than going straight into a security analyst role, which is another option for you instead of starting in IT then switching into a different team. The IT experience doesnt hurt (esp if you can get that experience while doing a part time bootcamp, for example) but its not required if you have bootcamp experience, a beginner cert, and technical projects on your resume.
