The volumetric smokes are genius because they fill an area based on geometry making it easier to smoke certain areas.
It easier to line up smoke than before I think.
I don't like because sometimes, you don't want to smoke the whole on purpose

@@m.n.s.s2825 paris major? probably not. but later majors? there's a high possibility. Vavle won't work their asses off for YEARS just for the game to never be played by pros. Plus this fixes a lot of the problems that's making Majors kinda boring, it nerfed smokes, significantly. And when has Vavle ever cared? if they want it, they'll do it and there's nothing you can do about it. And the new mechanics will be wild for pros to adjust to

Beautiful new engine with great graphic updates. CS players still play 4:3 stretched.
Yeah, the graphics improvements are insane but everyone just gonna play 4:3 stretched with the worst graphics settings ever
The resolution is personal preference,but the game still looks beautiful even in that resolution..
@@pl0xy Its just personal preferences, maybe some of them get low fps on high settings or their game stutters alot.
yea i swapped back & forth i started on csgo so native resolution is all you need lets see if you can change it to 4:3 stretch but i wouldnt use those vid settings anyway
@Cyrex nah, i have a laptop 3060 Ti and my friend told me "set your graphics to the worst possible and go 4:3 stretched because it magically makes enemy hitboxes bigger". I thibk he got himself a PC (not laptop) with a 3060 Ti and he actually plays like that, i don't really do that anymore, especially as i pretty much cut ties with him
Little does he know that his mic is still broadcasting to those four people after they stop playing the game. They will hear him forever now.

The sound is not only directional now, it bounces against walls, like Rainbow 6. Feels weird for now but it's better imo.
I also remember that when I started playing I couldnt for the life of me figure out where sound came from so I feel like this is something you can get used to.
@@feschber Yeah, instead of hearing "through the walls", you hear sounds from the nearest open way.
Valve just hired a physicist for this purpose xD

I really love the new details added. The awp shot now leaves a trail and the edges of the screen glow red when you get shot. I really hope my potato laptop can handle this thing
How much fps were you getting in csgo?

@@patrlim probably more, Source 2 can utilize more of your computers hardware, more efficiently and it uses more advanced graphics APIs like DX12 and Vulkan, S1 is stuck using DX9
@@IsM1ku It will still be more difficult to run. Trust me, I've used source 2, it's pretty hardcore to run.
Somethings I noticed:
2:48 The Pin pull animation is from beta CSGO
1:48 The landing sound is from an older version of CSGO used in somewhere between 2015-2018
wow its almost like a beta has placeholders!

i think sound penetrates worse thru some material and gets louder if its in tunnel, like reverberates and points

The AWP zoom sound is actually more accurate to a real life sound of zooming a scope. But yeah it will feel weird.
5:06 Shot 1: shot missed slightly to the right of the enemy head, just above the shoulder
Right.
Summary:
Shots 1-5: Clearly missed.
Shots 6-9: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control).
Shots 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses.
Shot 12: Likely didn't actually fire because Hiko was already dead.
The game is utterly beautiful
at 3:31 it says at the bottom of the screen that he picked up the M4 again. I think they forgot to disable automatic item pickup for the ragdolls
You may have solved the mystery! It could be a weird bug that his dead body was picking up the M4 while ragdolled, and then it just carries through on to the next spawn!

Jeff, the smokes can alter form from the place where it is thrown. So the smokes are not always the same poofy cloud as we have come to know it.
AK model is more of the older AK as we know the AK47 from. In CS:GO it was build from the AKMN.

I'm glad that they made a beta before full send the whole game because now these bugs can be fixed before the entire player base gets to play.
the respawn with guns thing is most likely a bug or a setting to automatically rebuy next round
he didn't have enough to buy in some round, in some others he ended up with an awp and enough to buy another one, definitely a bug for free weapons
I think I got what it is: at 03:31 u can see Yeff dying & second later a sign pops up on his death screen which says "you've picked up an M4". Also, fl0m noticed a glitch when dead player's body continued on defusing the bomb 'till the end of the round if the defuse was tapped before death in some occasions. So I'm assuming we have a proven case of an afterlife happening for real in CS 2, lol
It’s a big, if you die and spam E on death, you pick up your weapon. I tested it and it’s fairly consistent as long as your weapon doesn’t get blown away
Plus the game is in BETA Phase , but still they 've done a great work. Props to VOLVO
I'm honestly surprised how good all this looks. I cannot wait for CS2 to officially release and see what other changes they are gonna bring!

In my first match the dead bodies were flickering in and out of reality
this might be one-way abusable in long pit since it could block your head and if its client side you could see through them occasionally
I think the new smokes are not client sided anymore. At least I hope not because there are huge gaps that appear in them and if it were client side it would be completely fucked.

honestly, as good as it looks, i dont want them to get rid of source 1 csgo, there are definitely game mechanics that will be missed
While it is sad, the jump is necessary, like 1.6 to csgo
if they didnt replace csgo with cs2, they would have the issue csgo originally had where people didnt switch over,
in order for valve to give their full attention and support to cs2, they have to drop support and dedicated servers for csgo.
obv executables of csgo will still exist and lan/servers could still be made
On the blog post it said that CS2 will be a free update to CSGO so most likely it will be completely gone.
I agree that there should be a way to play it for nostalgia and history sake, but the community cant be split apart. CS2 must become the new standard. I imagine they will add a way to play it at some point in the future after we all have settled down on cs2.
the problem is that you can't leave a game like this for so long before updating it. when the community develops and then comes to like all of the games quirks, you can't remove them all in the new updates.

the fact that you now know how much damage you did in the player list is nice aswell, about the free weapons maybe it's based on if you had too many economy to not waste money but it started acting weird
The guns sound weird but then again that's what we thought the last time gun sounds were changed
i think they just sound closer to the real life sounds, you can search ak 47 irl sounds for example and hear it for yourself

I do wish they’d do a complete overhaul of the hud and stuff, aswel as new/improved sounds. I’d also really appreciate if they would fix the slow item transfer from and to storage units

glock definitely sounds like a pistol in GTA San Andreas
sounds a lot closer to an actual glock than it used to
now that you think about, the new smoke is genius, not only its volume based but also if you shoot, the hole appears from the bullet simulated trough the barrel of the gun, meaning that for the shooter is harder to see from the holes and easier for the target being shot at to see

The smoke mechanics seem very good but the smoke itselt looks a bit too cartoonish and i feel like the smoke with "rougher" textures would fit cs better

yeah but they will probably fix the whole map including the textures and the lightning for the full release,cuz what they did is just slapped dust_2 from source 1 and ported it over to source 2

Impressive on how everything looks and feels different but in a good way. The Panorama UI update, map remakes, new weapon sounds, new player models and new hand models were like the first improvement Valve took with CSGO but now... This is truly the huge step they made with the development of the game.
Is it just me or does the new glock sound like the SMG off GTA San Andreas when you keep firing it

I love the sound. It sounds so 3d. I'm sitting on a train with headphones on and I kept thinking someone's walking behind me but there wasn't.
one thing i would change about this game mechanic is the armor change it to fill in a max of 35 armor as armor no matter what people wouldn’t worry about buying it since it is basically infinite till you die, with this max of 35 armor it makes players buy more armor and armor would be more balanced at it was
I have 6.5k hours in this game and a good trust factor but havent received any invitations :/
the new CS2 looks awesome, has a lot of potential and Im sure they will fix all these bugs once it comes out.
in order to get invited, you have to: have many *recent* hours in game on official valve servers, have good trust factor and have no blemishes on your steam accounts history. Most people that are wondering why they can't get the beta don't realize that they simply don't meet one of those criteria.

@@thekamotodragon OhnePixel has shown that some guys in the beta had less than 30 hours in 2 weeks so I'm not so sure about recent playtime.
@@FD-Felix tbh... for guys who are grinding to level 10 or whatever that's not a lot, but you gotta remember that for most people just chilling, who have jobs and just play on valve servers casually, 30 hrs in 2 weeks is like more than 2 hrs a day which is still a lot for them lol, so it makes sense some of those people could get in, also i heard these "rules" were pretty lax if you were a consistent player over the years. I think they just want the people playing the beta to be true fans of the series and not cheaters or scammers or whatever.

I think it's great that the gap in smoke actually gets useless when shot from close range.
I hope they don't mess with the sound design to much. Being able.to pinpoint footsteps is key to gameplay.

I have always wanted an anti smoke grenade even if it was only for a few seconds. Mostly because I used to play office a lot. I am so happy thats how frags work now.

Very cool. They used Dust II first as it's probably the least changed/improved and it only gets more 'wow' from here.
Small detail that I noticed: in the reveal trailer they showed that the M4A1-S had a new model (look at the charging handle) but your print stream is still the old model that’s weird and when you were spectating one of your teammates they had the new model but now skin
I wish the screen would show 2v5 or 1v4 or 5v2 or whatever, so you can always stay aware of the deaths
