wow, this might be the most beautiful and perfect location to live that I have seen so far in Panama... they did a great job of keeping a lot of the natural trees! too many of the newer gated communities that are still under construction look like they just clear cut all the trees and it looks ugly.

Спасибо , посмотрела с большим удовольствием, я живу в Панаме, недавно ездили в Чиряки, на вулкан , правда , не поднимались, было очень жарко, но в следующий раз обязательно поднимемся, природа очень красивая, были в г. Букет, как мы его по+ русски здесь называем, были на плантациях кофе. Природа напоминает Абхазию

Hello, Bobby! Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I just saw your comment. If you're still interested, Panama has a Pensionado Visa that might be perfect for you. You only need a monthly income of $1,000 for yourself and $250 for a dependent, and many expats have found it to be the easiest and quickest option. On top of that, there are also friendly nation and investor visas available if you need them. If you need any help navigating the process, I highly recommend Kraemer & Kraemer law firm. They have offices all over Panama and are super helpful. Let me know if you have any other questions, I'm happy to help!

Hello, Ms. MONIQUE after trucking! We rented an Airbnb condo in a villa in Valle Escondido, which was the only option in this gated community. It costs about $80 per night (not during the holiday season) and about 10-15 minutes on foot to grocery shops and restaurants (in the center of Boquete). Unfortunately, I don't know the cost of long time rent there. Also, there are many other rental options on Airbnb in and around Boquete. The cost starts from $35.

I am concerned about the illegal immigrants coming from the Darian Gap and all the illnesses they are carrying. Also the drug cartel operating in the Darian Gap! They are estimating 60,000 are now on their way, to cross into your country illegally from Haiti, Africa, and other countries.
I would love to hear your thoughts on the problem? Concerns? Solutions?

We've been lucky enough to explore many remote places in Panama by car and have always felt completely safe. We've met so many expats who have lived in Panama for years, and they all agree that it's a low crime country. In fact, none of them or their friends have ever been robbed. It's refreshing to see that most people don't feel the need to live in gated communities. While there are some areas in the capital that aren't as safe, overall the country is very secure.
