- Here we have our 2nd Honda FL5 Civic Type-R in the iconic Championship White. We started off with a set of all-new Volk Racing TE37SL in Time Attack White along with a set of Advan Apex V601 Tires. Then we installed a set of Swift lowering springs and 4-wheel alignment. We finished off the interior with some Honda optional accessories.

Looks good, altho I opted for the type r forged rims. The suspension is already great so I'm more focused on upgrading intercooler, then intake to downpipe will all be up graded. Waiting to hit 10k miles on mine before I tear it apart, it's at 7300 now and I've had it since Dec 12th..

I wanna take a look at that CRX back their is it an 89’ Si. My older brother had the same one but with the black racing stripes that’s the car I learn how to drive manual transmission. Real fun car to drive.

Curious about rubbing with a + 38 offset and 265 tire after lowering an inch. I know spoon said there was rubbing after lowering an inch with + 38 offset and are recommending 40 plus. Did you guys experience any rubbing.

Looks really nice what would you recommend on a stock accord wheel setup I like the te37 don’t plan on doing a drop just a wheel setup. I currently have work wheels but they are 17x9 with 38 offset on my civic si sedan.
Just finished paying off my 2022 Shelby Mustang GT500 and was thinking about getting the new 2023 mustang GT as a Daily but lately I have been wanting a 2023 civic type r they look so god dam clean 😍

@@ahcgarage yes it will but knowing myself as soon as I get my hands on it bolt ons, bigger turbo, tune, and boom now it’s not a daily anymore 😂
You can never go wrong with a classic set of TE37s. I'm not sure if that steering wheel is suede or Alcantara. Either way, a steering wheel like that is made to be driven with racing gloves on. The natural oils in your skin and any dirt/sweat will ruin it quickly.

Definitely agreed! I just got some black wheels mounted on my new integra and they used black weights. I was surprised and impressed how well they don’t stick out like a sore thumb.

idk still havent grown on the the body style of the FK8 just stands out more, i think thats why i like it better.
They both have their unique features, but for us, the FL5 grew on us in person especially the interior

What’s Up Guys FL5 and RDX owner…. Great videos as always … wondering any rubbing issues ? … with TE’s you can’t go wrong such a clean wheel…. I am currently looking to do the same set up just in a red wheel and then possibly flip the Caliper color to champ white to make them pop thru wheel…but I am not mad at this look AT ALL as always I am watching and waiting for more videos on both of my platforms …..and I plan on upgrading the turbo on the RDX…..

I really like the new Type R. It looks very beautiful...I'm deciding to buy one in the near future but I'm kinda struggling with what color to pick. I like it in white, blue and grey and I dont really know which one would suit me the most😁

Why did you choose a rim diameter smaller than the original? (the car is gorgeous )
Hopefully you'll cut that piece of the trunk mat that is now covering part of the sub, I had to cut mine for the perfect fit. Honda does that because not all markets got the sub.

specs for the wheels and did you use any camber? they said when you change the suspension of the Type R,it will affect the driving mode? coz evwrything in tyoe r even wheels suspensions are already set up tuned even the wheels and tires.. not sure about if its true, so could you pls enlighten me as well? 😊 thanks

I wish the fl5 came with 18's. I think the 19 inch wheels is what causes all the rattles in the type r interior because my 22 si had no rattles unlike my fl5.
We have no rattles with our FL5 on both 19” and 18”
@@ahcgarage A lot of other people do tho. It could be the rims, or maybe some people just get a rattly one, not sure.

I can't seem to find part for left driver side FL5 Alcantara shift boot in USA. Only UK version is available online. Can you please tell me the part # for the Alcantara shift boot. Thank you.

Im also an owner of the fl5 and I wanted to know when you change the wheels do you still gives you the readings for the tpms also when you put the lowering springs does it affect the car when you change modes ?
FL5 has an indirect TPMS Sensor where it doesn’t equipped with TPMS Sensor. So replacing wheels do not affect the system. The only you might have to do is to recalibrate the system at the center screen. Replacing with lowering springs do not affect the ADS system either
