    Completed my first NFM this week with a time of 4,28 at Dyess AFB, TX. It was absolutely as mentally challenging as physically. I think a huge key for me was drinking as much water as I could starting the day before and going through the march. I drank my whole 3L camelbak and 5 additional 16 oz water bottles during. And eating some calories during the ruck. You’re mind does have huge impact but your body is also a machine that needs its inputs to keep going.

    Just did a nfw at The VIRGINIA Military Institute today and it was a lot harder that I initially thought. I’m 19 and barely made it with a 4,29 time .!!!

    I did mine in camp buehring Kuwait at 4:20. My whole body and ankles and foot and legs😢

    Well done for trying it and you have a great attitude.
    To bad you got so close and didn't make it..
    I am sure you will make it the next time you do it.
    It is harder than many think and it tests you both physically and mentally.
    I have done this march/test many times during my time in the army and I have seen many not making it.
    I have even seen many great long distance runners struggling and even some of them not make it because they had to have the 25 lbs ruck and had to use army boots.
    The 25 lbs and army boots make a much bigger difference than many think.

    Just completed this march on the 8th. Haven't rucked in about 3 years, but just made the time 4:39 (I'm in the 43-49 yr. category). Was not only physically challenging but mentally challenging as well.

    My first Norwegian ruck is April 6z I’ve been training for it. My longest ruck so far has been 7.5 miles . Tomorrow I will ruck 8!miles and 10 miles Tuesday.. I’ll keep you posted.

    I completed my first March a week ago, failed it but finished all the way thru. When they check my weight from beginning they said it was 5 pounds over (25 pound plate, 5 pound ruck) didn’t realize the ruck had its own weight. Gonna try again. Completely wrecked my legs lol.

    First time I did the NFM on deployment a couple years back I also missed the cut-off time by a couple minutes. So when an e-mail from my shirt came through my inbox about another opportunity to re-hack it down at Tyndall AFB, I knew I had to do it and passed this time. Don't worry bro, you'll get it next time...made the same mistake my first go by not getting in enough salts & snacks and cramping up on my 3rd lap. You'll kill it!

    Hey I’m about to bootcamp may 30 and get ship off but I didn’t get my number 1 choice, u think u can do a video about how people can crosstrain or what is the process like in the Air Force to switch jobs. Great vid too man keep up the work !

    I have done this and after the 12 mile mark is when you start to feel fatigue. 0/10 i will definetly not doing that again lol

      So many underestimate this march and think it will be so easy.
      And many make jokes about this march when they have not tried it themselves.
      This march is something that all soldiers in the Norwegian army must pass and they have good reasons for this as it tests the soldiers both physically and mentally.
