Manta Watch New Zealand - Manta Trust Affiliate Project

Did you know that New Zealand is home to a population of beautiful, majestic oceanic manta rays?
Here we speak to Lydia Green, the founder and project manager of our affiliate project Manta Watch New Zealand, who is trying to understand how and why these mysterious animals are using New Zealand’s waterways.
They have identified more than 100 oceanic manta rays in the region, and have satellite tagged 18 individuals, some of whom they have tracked into the wider Pacific…one tagged oceanic manta ray was even located in Fiji’s waters!
