    I remember when they didn’t even want to mention Larson’s name in the beginning of the season. And now he’s the favorite for the championship.

      Sad thing is if you watch from the nascar website like i do, they give ZERO coverage of Larson even when hes leading or comming throu the pack. He only gets camera time if he is in the background of whatever car they are showing

    I've been a Larson fan for a few years. He's always a quiet, consistent top 10ish guy, runs unique lines and I always kinda' saw him as an underdog. I was disappointed in the hiccups he experienced in his career but thankfully he was fortunate enough to learn from his mistakes, be forgiven and race another day, and now look at this stand-out season! It's a great time to be a Larson fan. This dude is on fire. Love it!

      The only reason Larson wasn't winning like this 3-4 years ago was because he didn't have good equipment. Goes to show skill gaps in NASCAR.

      @@kyledonahue7741 he is definitely doing excellent with all he's been given and you can tell from his interviews he's genuinely appreciative to have such an outstanding support system helping to recognize, encourage and publicize his talent. I am definitely happier when he finishes well, but all these years, I've just really liked his attitude and to watch him drive. He brings a lot to the table.

Then he jumps in a car that hasn't won in 3 years with a 7 time Champion driving and dominates. People act surprised by what hes doing but, if you followed him since before he even drove a full body stock car, its not surprising at all

      Bubba Wallace just can't drive! He has wrecked Alex three times & once threw a water bottle at him. He is still a friggin street thug. Alex has had a monkey on his back the last few races. Last week he had battery problems & started in the back twice, but still finished 10th.

I am Asian American, but adopted into a white family, but I thought the word was not good to say. I never like when people say words like that, though I think everyone has the right to make up for their comments, no matter how egregious. We had a Congresswoman who compared vaccinate mandates to the Holocaust and yet she kept her job.

      @@ethanweeter2732 not sure how racism works there but here as everyone is just a mix of europeans, africans and natives, there is very little to no racism. You will often here parents calling sons nicknames based on their race (one of my friends is called negrito by his mother and no offense is taken) or friends do the same (a neighbour was called el chino because he was from japan). Usually in latin america is like that and here the majority of people to which I belong take no offense in those terms. Surely if I said there something like that calling a japanese "mi chino" ( my chinese) I would be treated really as a racist but here is normal. As I said, here there is little to no racism. Divisions in south america are based on income and not on race

      @@julianescobar2395 wrong. nascar was fair to him They gave him a 2nd chance and was right to suspend him for saying the n word and never act like it's okay to say the n word. as far as cgr chips hands were tied by the sponsors dropping Kyle so it was fire Kyle or lose sponsors and have to shutdown the 42 car team hand lay employees off because wouldn't have sponsors for Kyle if he would have asked to be reinstated a lot sooner than he did and if nascar granted his request at that time

    WOOOOO!! 5 and 24 tandem drafting in 2021, that was hilarious to watch 😂. Super stoked for Larson, dominant win. But I will say this: the man of the race was Billy Byron 24, that bump at the restart, and afterwards defending his teammate like an absolute boss! Epic teamplay this race, the last restarts had me on the edge of my couch! Was like: fkin keselowski you’d better not wreck Kyle now!!

      The playoff point would normally be the 1 point for winning a stage that carries over into the next round. Example 5 playoff points for a win and 1 for a stage win. Then those points would carry over into the next round but the next round is the Championship 4.

    What was today's race attendance, 250-300 people? The stands sure looked empty. I have to watch these races with the closed caption on and the volume turned off. Dale and Jeff's voices sound like two pieces of styrofoam being rubbed together. And congrats to Bubba for causing the biggest wreck in Texas Motor Speedway history.

      I think he could be better than AJ. AJ never dominated dirt racing like Larson has honestly and AJ dominated Indy Car, but as I recall not many good drivers ran Indy Car full-time in those days, though more of it was on dirt too back then with USAC.

      Larson is cheating dude. Hendrick Motorsports is obviously paying off nascar to ignore it when they break the rules. Hendrick Motorsports has had countless slip ups this season and nascar didnt penalize their drivers once! Ryan blaney breaks a rule ONCE and they put him a lap down

    6:45 Don't they carry fire extinguishers in these cars!? Surely even a small one would've helped Alfredo to get out more safely...

      They do, but the fire being on the outside would likely not be helped because the fire is away from the extinguisher which is probably not detectable.

      Yes, but that is the extinguisher that would be activated automatically for fires inside the car, right? Seems to me they could benefit quite a bit from a small hand-operated one within easy reach of the driver.
      And something else, I presume it is more difficult for them to exit on the right-hand side of the car? In this particular case it would obviously have been a lot better for Alfredo to exit on that side if he could?

      @@stadleroux The fire started outside of the car ! Fluids leaked out onto the track and sparks from the car, scraping on the asphalt, ignited it. Thus, inside the car fire extinguisher, was of no value.

    Truex could win at Martinsville, as he's proven he's very good there. But it's going to be tough for him and Logano at this point. Amazed that the 11 finished 11th with all the damage on his car, keeping his chances good for the final four. But lets be honest. Does ANYONE have a chance to beat the 5 car? With the exception of something happening out of their control, like a wreck or cut tire?

      Kade Morgan I’m with you. The race at dega just didn’t last long enough for Bubba Smollett to have a chance to wreck out. Definitely a fluke he won at dega.

      If you look at the stats, bubbas skill level is slightly below Erik jones in contemporary equipment, and yet Erik is the one getting demoted

      Agreed. You know most drivers have certain tracks that they are good at. Chase Elliott with road courses for example. Problem is, Larson is good everywhere he goes lol

      Thinking about it, over the years Hendrick has picked some seriously great drivers.
