A good tip when spray painting anything, if you find yourself reaching for any krylon product, youre messing up. They dont have very thick pigment n havent for a good decade. Rusto, or their offshoot american accents is the best way to go.
Love PSR, but this is cringe level noob shit. Disassemble, de-grease and use a firearm specific paint. Cerakote Duracote, alumihyde. Do it right or don't do it at all.
As someone who spray paints a decent amount, I feel your pain on the matte black. Found out the hard way that you have the ultra-flat paints that most companies market as “camo” paint, regular flat paint that’s still pretty flat but it has just a little more sheen depending on light conditions, and matte which has even a little more sheen. The joys of rattle canning.
I screamed, " I LOVE YOU" really loud in my room watching this alone when he took my suggestion from last time and used the "Shake the devil out of it" line from Ross in this one. That made me very happy and got me laughing hysterically. Love ypu PSR. If you're in TN, I would LOVE to paint some guns or shoot or hang out sometime. I live near Columbia, Tennessee, in Giles County. You're the man.

Painted my Block II a while ago and I used dish soap as my liquid/free-form "stencil." Basically what I did was I sprayed my first coat over the whole rifle and then let it completely dry. Then I came back the next day and drizzled different amounts of dish soap in a striped pattern over the whole rifle and immediately sprayed my next color over the rest of the rifle. I let that second coat dry for about an hour or so due to it being a warmer day and then i proceeded to spray the rifle off to wash away the dish soap. This leaves an awesome and unique looking pattern on the rifle but I decided i wanted one more color on the rifle, so i performed the previous step once more the next day and it really gave the paint job a lot more depth and detail. Would love to see PSR try this because this series is phenomenal!

Always use 3M respirator with filter cartridges when spraying, even in open air. The paint fumes are not stopped by average fabrics. You are inhaling them into lung, and the paint won't come back out.

Tip for you folks needing alternative matte blacks to.... *gags* Krylon... Walmart dollar cans: Before you use it make sure you turn it upside down and release some of the pressure from the can (for about 50-60 seconds) , it comes with extra air for some reason and makes the paint turn into thinner. Anything besides Krylon....

When he was out he decided that he never wanted to shout at anybody ever again so he chilled the fuck out and refined his painting skills. And I'm sure you know the rest.
I love these painting videos. Man, PSR has definitely made the most of his situation and if not 3D-printing, he’s got a talent for rattle can work. Can’t wait to finish my Airsoft upgraded M16 build so I can demonstrate the knowledge he continues to give.
I wanna repaint my rifle now haha that looks kool, man, great job. My brother uses the same technique of diagonal lines but he didn't use a stencil, jus kept it simple with the green and brown paint.

Oh hell yes. PS. Picked up a Goonbeam Short V1 and Long V1 and I gotta say, they are really fuckin impressive. I compared the Long V1 to my Modlite OKW and I think the GB beats the Modlite honestly. As for the Short V1, it's got some fantastic reach for a TLR1 format light.

If you find a color that you like, but it isn't a flat tone, you can get a flat clear coat that will turn a gloss finish into a flat finish.
