7:37 for the best eyebrow game
It's hard to believe it's 7 years since he won his last major. He's too good to be "stuck" on four major wins. Mcilroy has one of the most impressive resumes on the PGA Tour. He's done everything except win at Augusta (The Masters) He's got to start winning majors again.
he will!😄
Walter Hagen (d 1969) was reincarnated as Rory (b 1989). See Seal #7: Reincarnation Theory - 26 Principles incl. Theory of Luck Equation at 7seals.blogspot.com . Only the returned Christ & Albert Einstein reincarnated could produce that. It's triggered The Apocalypse/Revelation which is NOT the 'end of the world'.
Once he started dating women the wheels fell off, if he stayed away from women he would have 15-20 majors right now, they are poison!!
Rory is plain amazing with a golf club. He'll work it out. He has so much time still
He runs into the same problem other top players have to deal with: 1. there are only four majors a year 2. There are too many good (not great ) players that happen to have a great week during a major. 3. So long as the USGA, R&A, PGA trick up golf courses to the point that freak luck wins rather than pure skill, then it's just a free-for-all, like throwing darts in the dark.
Humble, talented, funny and easy going. What a great champion he was in 2011. Still like watching him today.

Hope Rory wins a Masters to get that elusive career slam. It's almost unreal that it has eluded him so far and he got second place in 2022. He can do it.
His swing looks perfect here. I think he needs to come back and watch this swing. He is completely in balance here.
if only it were that simple😞
Man if he would have stayed with titleist and didn’t change from here who knows how good he would have been.
Needs to go back to titlelist
He's 10 years younger and leaner and more flexible, he'll never see that swing again
22:32 is sooo sick
I love Chris Berman’s commentary. He was literally born for it.
I was there at the first round when I was in 1st grade. Got Louis Oostuizen's golf ball and still have it in a box in my bedroom, by far one of my most prized possessions. Shame I can barely remember a thing from that day.
Golf... So pretty to watch when played by the best!

@@wikzy.7966 History is far from Written in Rory's Story!
@@wikzy.7966 playing some decent Golf!!
Dude had complete command of his golf ball all weekend! Absolutely AMAZING performance! Cheers Rors!
fddrrrtrrrttttt
That kid making faces in the interview after round one definitely ran out into traffic 5 minutes later, got hit by a bus, and had to be put down
Ginger as well.
Braces and full blown ginger...feel bad for the kid for how ugly he is
Would love to see Rory, with newly won self esteem from last victory, going in to major season. You hardly saw any mishit back then and always going for the pin. Awesome!!
Hard to believe it's been six years since Rory last won a major. And even harder to believe it's been three years since Spieth won a tournament at all.
Scott Carroll why do you think that is scott? Has his game just got worse? Or is it because of rahm , johnston being so good?
Iysboy95 it has to be mental. Statistically speaking his play over the past year has been every bit as good as it was in 2014. It just seems like every major he has one round where he blows up. Spieth’s problem has been his driving. It’s atrocious. Hard to play from some of the places he drives his ball.
Scott Carroll Thanks for the insight relatively new to golf but i really like rory , his drives are unreal , im a terrible golfer lol
This aged well
@@kensharpe6865 Um yeah. At the time I wrote it, it had been three years since Spieth had won a tournament. Him winning last week doesn't change that fact. So thanks for checking in.
7:36, that dude in the background got some serious eyelash game
they are eyebrows...
Rory. Look at the stride. So much confidence. Pure.
To hit that many really good golf shots over 4 days is incredible. That is the best golf I have ever seen from any player, ever.
Rory's swing is majestic here. If has a snappy action that's not as accentuated these days.
A perfect weekend. Total dominance of the course. Not even hearing Chris Berman's voice for a bit could ruin it!
I hope this McIlroy comes back. He'll always be my favorite on tour but there's no denying that he just falls apart on Sundays now especially on the PGA. Plays great in Europe, SA, UAE, China.
I actually liked Bermans commentating
Just unreal iron striking
Straight up lasers
Very enjoyable to watch this: golden days
jason day said it heading to the final round of that year's U.S open "I Will win this tournament played under Rory's shadow"
Possibly the greatest four rounds of major golf in the history of the game. 22 years old, coming off the biggest meltdown in another major, he was phenomenal that year.
The final round of the Masters that year was heartbreaking, he'd played Augusta beautifully for three days. So to come back at the US Open and CRUSH both the course & the field, oh that took some gonads! Watched coverage every day live, mostly in wonder. WHAT a player! 🏌♂⛳
Rory in The Zone, a magnificent sight.
Great champion, showed us what he is made of in 2011. What a natural talent. Most beautiful golf swing.
Titleist Rory>Taylormade Rory
Hell no
Nike Rory ??
Absolutely. He was such a better player and a better putter.
Nooooooooooo whatt
Idk abt that one
Rory got swagger in his step
This is probably the most fun he has ever had playing golf.
39:07 Y.E. Yang stepped to the right to not spoil the camera angle ;)
Fabulous, golf with excellence 👍🏌️⛳️ God bless Rory McIIroy
Dude had complete command of his golf ball all weekend! Absolutely AMAZING performance! Cheers Rors!
Rory talked about what he would have to do to mess up his impending victory. I guess he needed to come down to earth. Golf doesn’t let us forget that life is a humbling experience.
This has to be the best US open performance ever besides tiger at pebble. Unreal.
Let’s go Rory!! Rooting for you 2022 US Open!!!
2011 the commentators never stayed quiet about Rory not winning the us masters in Augusta..saying it was a disaster .there's something special about Rory .get that putting stroke back you'll win more Rory..your good enough
His swing was so fluent. No chasing distance and swing speed
Absolutely Masterful!
The dislikes are from past & current PGA players who never finished Top 5 in any Major.
@7:36 - Every time Rory hits a bomb and I try and comprehend how far it’s carried
Perfect Rors conditions. Soft course, no wind, wide fairways, no rough.
Theoretically though, it should be the opposite. Rory on paper should be dominant in extremely firm conditions as his approach shots are so high and soft. I think his distance really used to allow him to dominate the soft layouts though. P.S. "no rough" is a bit of a stretch, lol
How did he win the 2012 PGA Championship
Great video. Rory was amazing. When that mentioned him breaking Gil Morgan's record I couldn't help think about how quick pebble beach turned on the players. Morgan set an open record of 13 under ( at the time) and finished at plus 5, just a round and a half later.
Course was tough on Saturday afternoon once the sun came out. Awesome on Sunday
When he is on it, he is unbeatable. problem is he's not on it completely nearly enough. He should have 8-10 majors tucker away by now.
The way his career went the last 10 years I'd be impressed if he ended it with 8-10 majors
7:35 Only the hard core fans will have found this.
Crazy seeing this compared to now, lazer irons, solid putting, quick confident playing!
Wow! What a swing
Yang sharing top of the leaderboard tells how good of a player he was. 3:56
When the game is on for Rory, it's on big time, what an amazing performance.
I’ve never been a Rory fan but he destroyed this course. He did win me as a fan during that final round at Augusta 2022. Tee to green was impeccable at this US open.
Love watching Rory back in the days he was still a natural player.
Rory is a big champion. He will now growing Up
Where is this Rory
Haven't seen him in 8 years
Unbelievable golf. Amazing display. Probably the best ever performance.
He was the same age (22) I actually quit golf after playing since I was 10. I quit at handicap 3. Slightly regret it now. But hey, I had a great 12 years of golf..
2012 PGA Championship was even better
Look at young Cantley
I love seeing how his swing has changed over these years. 17:34 turn it up!
I think a lot of people doont realise just how small N.Ireland is and to have two winners in a row from there is beyond imagination. Not only is it a small nation but Golf is way down in the list of popular or affordable sports here.
Great achievement
I love the sound of Johnny Miller's voice being completely drowned out by thunderous applause
Swing at 22:32 is just too pure
Awesome.
Is that Cantlay in the background during the trophy ceremony?
DJ without a beard was the real history
love Rory
Rory should watch this video before playoffs in 2020. No fear, nothing to lose in 2011.
I think Rory proved how smart he was during the liv debacle
When in the zone 🙏
7:36 what’s he doing in the back 😂
the announcers voices are much lower than the crowd noise. it wasn't like that during the original broadcast. i'm curious who put this video together and how did they manage to have control over the anbient sound
this was insane
He’s close to pulling it together
@09:09 the announcer turns into a chicken LMAOOO
minute 38:00 is so good
When everyone thought he was going to be the next Woods
I never did
@@hosoiarchives4858 Lol we all recognize your brilliant foresight. You must feel so cool.
I don’t think there will ever be another tiger woods in the “modern” era but the players that came the closest are probably Speith, Rory and DJ imo.
Cantlay watching enviously
48:00 look at little baby Patrick Cantlay😂
He needs to bring back the necklace lol
A par 3 to start hahahahaha that’s crazy
I would put my ball go for a swim
7:37 guy behind
2:58 Camera man needs a raise...
The only two people reporters have been so amazed to laugh at shots, Rory and Tiger.
Throws his ball into the lake in disgust after hitting a 65 - I so understand him, I do that all the time ; )
He shot 66 that round after a double bogey on the last after going into the water on that hole. So he was frustrated and impulsively threw his ball that he not only gets for free unlimited numbers of, but gets paid to use them, into the water. It gives the guys who make a living retrieving and selling ‘lake balls’ has an extra grade A ball to find easily and sell. I know your comment was tongue in cheek but that’s the explanation.
@@Dude0000 W
Its funny how Chris Berman will take any chance he can get to use his "Back, back, back".
It's rough lol
Jumeirah cap rory was something else man
which game is greater? 1.Tiger 2000 US Open
2.Rory 2011 US Open
7:37 look over his shoulder
15:27 I wish I had the confidence to putt with the back of my putter
Yeah I kept thinking about that - I'd double tap it or accidentally chip it 3 feet past the hole
I wish I had the confidence to putt with the front of mine..
44.03 never knew part of Rory’s entourage was Shane McMahon??
dude in the pink @ 7:42 is hilarious
When he had a caddie and could putt. Incredible golf.
Can he not putt anymore?
@@iAmTrigz not as well.
Only player to shoot four rounds in the US Open in the 60s.
Glad Johnny Miller isn't on TV anymore lol
That 11th is a tough hole, man. Water on right with long iron if you’re a long hitter, maybe a wood. Long and uphill. Green is back to front and very undulating. If it was a par 5 it would just be an average difficulty, not an easy one...so par 4 is real tough!
He's in the zone...
21.33 yangs caddy cleaning Rory's ball.
Caddies are just to help each other when for example the other player has been in the bunker and his caddy is busy raking up. 👍
Saves time..
What a confidence..if he was able to mantain it thru years he would minimaly had 20Majors (make your case if you in doubt)
Great video but it pales with what the R&A are doing with its documentaries on The Open Championships.
best ever golf shots to win a major ever
He makes the game look so easy and believe me when I say "It’s Not"!
why does every moment after he holes the put on 18 make me tear up?
44:55 man shatner
If only he won the previous major, the Masters. Had the lead with 9 holes left and then it all came undone.
The guy beside Rory is Patrick Cantlay?
Interesting course. The second place finish would have won 90% of all US Opens.
Forgot how obnoxious Chris Berman was calling golf.
Nobody was as bad as Gary McCord.
