    Ok, this is such a fantastic thing to know, Christine! I can't begin to tell you the times I wish I could add my own 'cherry-picked' words to my cards and to be honest, I've had my laptop for 2 years now and I can't believe I didn't think of it. And, I never would have thought to download an image from the Internet. I also have a Scan N Cut that I bought almost a year ago hoping that it would save on having to purchase so many expensive dies, yet I still have not set it up....it's the fear of learning it, I guess, which is just ridiculous. I have been wondering how to do this because I don't stamp, but want the advantage of not having to use dies for sentiments. One thing I noticed is you did not align the text in the boxes, or with each other. Since you seem to be computer savvy in Word, perhaps fool around in editing. Find alignment. I usually center text inside the box. Then I select all 3 boxes, align them with center. And then move all three while selected into position you want. Forgive me if I overstep!! The rest of what you showed I had not figured out so I am very, very happy. Cheers!!

    • @Chrissieannie
      @Chrissieannie  Před rokem +1

      I'm not sure what you mean by aligning. With a word or phrase in a text box, I move them to exactly where I want them on the card. I'm glad you found some useful bits in the video.

I’m struggling with getting pieces and parts and sentiments laid out TO SIZE, CUT OUT, and applied to my cards, but I’m definitely not “ready for prime time”!! BTW, when I STAMP an image on a thinner front card stock that I want to then color, I use a “liner” made of 32# / 120 g/m2 that has the inside sentiment. That usually hides the bleed through.

    • @Chrissieannie

I've used PhotoShop Elements in the past but the computer with that program is no longer working. Again, PSE is a bit expensive so I hesitate to buy it again. Chris, what paper do you use in your printer? I have always used Stampin' Up! Whisper White cardstock but their supplier quit business and the new supplier's Basic White cardstock won't go thru, as it's too slippery. I do tons of printing similar to what you have demo'd here. I'm in Wisconsin USA.

      The card I use is Silkweave Linen from Syntego.co.uk and they ship worldwide!

      All my cards to date have been “layered”, and, in doing so, I use HP PREMIUM 32#, 100 Brightness, printer paper for the inside layer containing the inside sentiment. It’s thick enough, and has a nearly “polished” texture, so it gives a classy look (I think) to my cards.

    I have always wanted to know how to do this, I will watch a few more times. where do you get your images that you print? also noted you have both jpeg and png files. I assume both work to print, just not familiar with png.

    • @Chrissieannie
      @Chrissieannie  Před 2 lety +1

      Both jpeg and PNG work. This particular image was from a company no longer trading but there are numerous sources for images online, it would just be a matter of doing a few searches or trawling Pinterest for something that takes your fancy.

      @Chrissieannie  Před 2 lety +1

      I'm not very techy, but I don't use a template I just start a new document... text boxes are not affected by margins, they can go right off the sides of the page if you want them to.

      Do you mean that the markers you use make the ink run? If so you could try drying the ink thoroughly with a heat tool, or sprinkling some clear embossing powder over the ink immediately you take the sheet from the printer and then heat setting it or not colouring over the lines!
