I visited Miragoane the day of the earthquake in 2021. The earthquake was that morning and I got there in the afternoon coming from Jacmel.I had a hotel room near the harbor and police station. When more tremors came that night, everyone moved their mattresses to a field. The whole town slept outside. Unforgettable experience.

The best way I can describe my own experience is to hang out in the country side. Go to the beaches for fresh fish and sometimes some good restaurants. Not much to do during nighttime, no electricity and mosquitoes are my best friends. It did not bother me much because I am outside doing what I love to do driving to unknown places.
