I remember so many of the early things from 1959! I had the blue and white striped dress and the black plastic doll case for my Barbie. My foster mother sewed quite a few unique outfits - including a satin wedding dress, for my Barbie in the early sixties.

OMG, when will the pink stop?! Barbie did not start out with everything pink, it is not realistic. Anyway, I appreciate your filming this for us, but I think the Expo display lacked many things. It spent the most space documenting current Barbies and Barbie trends. People don't come to see what is currently in the stores but things from the past. Where was Skipper, Skooter, Ricky, Allan, and Midge? They are all part of the original Barbie family. They were not there; I sure didn't see them at all. Ken got a very small mention with only his swimsuit and tuxedo shown. What about all of his varied careers and outfits? What about the other vintage structures like the Fashion Shop, Barbie Goes to College, Barbie & Skipper Schoolhouse, and more? If I had attended this Expo in person, I would have been disappointed that more from the past 60+ years was not on display for all to appreciate.
This expo’s theme was FASHION INSPIRATION as a CULTURAL ICON🎀💖🎀💖🎀💖 So that’s why they focused on more fashion history🥰
