I've always wanted to make a journal of my own, but I'm scared it won't turn out the way I want it to and it'll just go to waste :(
Sammee when I try decorate the page I just end up ripping it out thinking it's horrible.
You can always start small! Try using scraps first as a mock-up, then you can do the real thing once you’re confident enough 😊
but if you never try, you'll never know

how long do you make your thread? what do you do if you run out of thread before it is all sewn? what do you do at the end of each row? because there is no end thread.

Ive tried this so many times but the paper in the middle is always out the furthest there not equally together
How many pages did you use? I want to make a thick journal. Maybe around 400 pages. How long would it take me? And if I were to type on the computer, would I be able to use those pages after printing it?

everytime i try to bookbind the paper doesnt stay together tightly even though i tighten the thread as i do it.

Where did you get the paper for your book?
Whenever i do this type of stitching there is always a big gaps on each signatures and when i'm done stitching all of the stitched part forms like letrer c :(( . So i'm jealous on your work:((

How do you stitch a book or journal?
There’s many many ways, I personally poke some whole into the spine of the cover, and through all the pages, then I thread it through in a zigzag kind of way
Hey guys. I'm a novice in arts and crafts (I was so bad, I ran from it ever since I was a kid) but I wanted to make someone important to me a gift. Could someone please list down the names of all the materials she used? I would really appreciate that.

How to make cover
You'd most likely get hard cardboard then get paper or fabric, whatever u wanna use and put it on the cardboard and glue the excess paper (or whatever your using) down and done I don't know exactly how that gets attached
