This phenomenon happens in my house... I talk, and no one hears a single word I said...
🤣😂😂

2 friends of mine said they went here at night sometime in the 90s and there was this group of kids hanging out. One guy produced a fireball and they all passed it around their circle hand to hand. They proceeded then to jump from the bridge into the railyard below and then return back up to do it again. My friends left in fear. They may have been tripping on something called acid but they are convinced they saw something supernatural.
they could've been on acid, ive been through worse on the drug and definitely seen other people do some crazy shit
I’ve predicted shit before it happens while on a trip just to see if I’m right and sure enough, also first time ever tried with bro in law and we were in each other’s thoughts discussing it was crazy
Why would anything supernatural happen there?
It's literally explained by science and made by humans.
So there is no need for anything crazy and supernatural to occur here
LSD has been established with the help of the supernatural the devil himself. Don’t kid yourself with this science stuff. I know what I’m talking about.
@@BOREDFU , there's no scientific explanations for why it happens, just what happens.

_Blurrÿ _ how was it?

_Blurrÿ _ how was it?
I lived in Tulsa as a child in the early 1950's, then moved back a couple of times as an adult. I've always loved Tulsa and the many great friends I met there. This answers all the questions of the universe, that Tulsa really is the center of the universe!
Tulsatom Bob it's only the name givin to it its not the real centre of the universe
Ofc Americans think they’re center of the universe
Omg
No that's wrong. Scientists have measured the universe using a hagstrom magtroemeter, and from the edges of the universe measured from 63 locations pinpointed the center of the universe to this location in Tulsa. The figures were fact checked several times using the equivalent equation method.
There is a tremendous energy I felt about two blocks south of there. It was strong and felt great and gave me energy. I have no idea what it is, but Tulsa always gave me a great feeling, and energy, maybe it’s all that oil and gas beneath it.???
The real explanation: From it's point of origin sound travels into all directions in an (at the speed of sound, who would have guessed) expanding spherical shape. Now if there is a circular sound reflective surface AND the point of origin of sound is the exact concentric middle point then the spherically expanding sound wave will hit the surrounding circular surface in all directions at the exact same time. Ring-shaped reflection will then be thrown back to meet again culminating at the central point of origin. The smoother the reflective surface the less diffusion and the better the kept integrity of the waveform. The physics work precisely and though i've never been there i assume it is only evoke- and perceivable for the single person at the exact centre (?).
A second, physio-neuronal level plays into the perceivable quality of the phenomenon as well: We have two ears and every sound coming in at an angle of incidence that's not exactly perpendicular hits the ear closer to the source a little earlier then the other one. The time difference is greatest for laterally incident and zero for perpendicular incoming sound but absolutely precise for any given angle. Neuronal "circuits" perceive this temporal shift of otherwise pretty identical waveforms and integrate it as a quality of direction as the perception is presented to the consciousness.
Because of the deflections of our head and shoulders there are also spectral differences from the two ears that are used for direction of origin perception and especially helpful for up/down perception of moving sources (in case you wondered how this was achievable with two ears).
If we hear different sounds from different sources at different locations all at the same time our brains are able to integrate, identify and perceive each sound coherently with it's own direction of source. With this in consideration now figure: If you are at this place of precise physical circumstances and your mouth at the centre produces sounds but your ears are a little left and a little right of your mouth ....... now the reflection of your sound is coming from the front and back to both ears at the same time, but reflection is also coming from the left side to the left ear a little earlier then (with a spectrotemporal shift) to the right ear, but it is also coming from the right side to the right ear a little earlier then (again with spectrotemporal shift) to the left ear .... and everything for any continuous angle in between all at the same time. And our brain is not totally confused but able to integrate all this for our conscious perception as exactly what it is: a coherent integer sound coming from everywhere at once. Amazing.
Four more points:
1. Since the energy of the concentric reflections re-culminates in the centre the effect should be perceived much louder than expected as experienced from "normal" straight wall reflections.
2. The effect might be even stronger when it's wet.
3. An ellipse shape would make for a two-person experience with the two people standing in the two focal points of the ellipse perceiving the respective other as being in all directions (but not themselves). The direct sight line should be blocked and ground reflections should be absorbed or at least diffused as these would lessen the effect.
4. I am a sound engineer ;)
Thank you to everyone interested and taking the time to read!
I understood basically nothing... but yea, SCIENCE, BITCH!
So you're saying its magic right? cool

Finally I can practice my singing without people hearing me
But people can still hear the sound coming from your mouth. They just don't hear the echo part.

The center of the universe accidentally made in the eighties.
Sounds ablout right.
There's an echo circle on the Frostburg University in Frostburg. It's real name was Riley Circle but everyone calls it Echo Circle, it's pretty cool. I don't know if the effect there is by accident or design
Second episode of Tulsa king brought me here
there is something like this in australia where it’s a similar look but there’s a tree in the middle and you talk through the tree and it echos your voice
0:51 wth is that??! 😂
I totally would love to go to this, that would be really cool. I’ve heard about this on Facebook a few years ago, looks very interesting to me
Who else is here after watching Tulsa king? Amazing performance that ending "Because I didn't want her to see me in jail." Fckin Heart breaking 💔 😢 😭
If you can't hear what the person is saying inside the circle when you're outside the sircle, how did the camera hear? It was like ten meters out of the circle.
Renée van Tienen Do you know what a microphone is
She uses mic clip on
Sssssshhhhhh..you not playing the game...

Fun fact: You’re always directly above the core, since the earth is round.
Well, they say the earth is more egg shaped than spherical, so some people may be further away

my theory: binaural reverberation probably cancels the echos.
see, sound is a wave. it goes outwards in a sphere shape wave. when it hits the concrete surrounding it, it sends the echo back at you, from all around you. in other words, all the soundwaves you sent outwards to that perfect circle will now close back to the center of that circle in a perfect waterdrop-wave like shape. now your body absorbs back that echo, which this is the echo that you hear when you hear yourself amplified. this is nice but outside of it, you probably can't hear it because of the perfectly-sized-for-the-speed-of-sound structure of it. i mean, when you speak your voice sends out and also echoes back. at the position of a man standing outside that circle, the soundwave produced in the middle of that circle is probably cancelled out due to its own reverberating echo, my guess. i think that active noise cancelling headphones work in a similar way.
pov: you are smart
yup phase cancellation outside the circle
POV: pov
So theoretically weather would affect the way this works then huh, if it’s dependent on structures to cause the phase cancellation? Due to the fact that sound moves at different speeds in air of varying weather conditions/temperatures the positioning of the person creating the sound would have to change a bit. I wonder if there’s a point during the year where this doesn’t work too well. 🤔
where is the concrete surrounding the area? that short 2 feet thing..
this video make no sense
I've been in many round plazas where this occurs. It's just a physical phenomena where sound bounces from the concrete circles. These circle plazas are very common in Latin America.
I think it's the same as ancient Amphitheaters. I think there must be some type of implosion effect. I'm surprised nobody has seriously studied sound waves. Sounds like a technology that has a lot of potential but is being ignored for some random reason.
Amphitheaters?
“HORSE 🐴”
Sorry Tulsa, your not the only one with this phenomenon. We discovered another one in Portland, Or. Council Crest Park. It’s pretty cool!
Guy: yeah

In my theory its a device that amplifies sounds in the middle and a drum like device bounce it back only in the middle part. Has anyone tried putting a sound recorder 3 feet above the person?

She was talkin about the echo lol. You can only hear the echo inside that small circle but you can't hear it from outside of it apparently
There's one in Portland Oregon too.
We got the same at or school just a bit smaller
That’s just like that one room below Congress that I’ve visited privately where you can hear the person talking about 40 yards away at the other side of the room clearly.
....Except exactly the opposite
That is so weird!
That is common everywhere
Seems like the easiest way to tell if it's the circular cement structure around the spot, is to put some kind of dampener like foam padding along the round cement structure and see if that effects the sound. Even if that proves it's just an acoustic phenomenon it's still very cool!!
Here after watching the Stallone tulsa king show
I found a bunch of these at the FallsView Casino in Niagara Falls.. they have 7 of them!! I've been to the mayor and they think I'm crazy!

What is meant by anyone standing outside the circle won’t hear what you do, meaning they won’t hear the echo? Or will the person on the outside not hear the person at all(I def doubt this one). ?????
My boyfriend and I went there on Saturday, you can only hear the echo in the center. You can hear everything outside the center, but weirdly no echo.
Who’s here after watching Tulsa King?

Pretty sure they just made that spot hollow and the surrounding area is solid. It's right over a train track.
Center of the Universe in Tulsa? Winnipeg is going to go ballistic.
The man very clearly stated that it's what the city calls it, just as every place in America has some kind of nickname. My tiny city here has its own name, but is casually known as The Forest City because of all the trees in/around/through it. That's all they're referring to, not that that place is THE center of the universe!
Who is here from the tulsa king
Someone stole all of the bricks
Actually it's transmits the particular sound in specific radius may be so why they call it as center of universe or shall I take its literally mean like center of universe 🙈😲
Guy: Yea
Chick: I can’t hear you at all
I cant hear "it" at all
She was referring to the absence of the echo, and she said "I can't hear IT at all."
Centre😂😂
Chandler was there
Wehre you at Tulsa king fans~
What if I fart in the center of the universe Will they hear it?
So... are you saying we can't hear the echo outside the circle? Or we can't hear the person at all outside the circle?
The person inside the circle can hear certain things that people outside the circle cant hear.
The echo can't be heard by anyone outside the circle, just the voice of the person inside it a a flat, normal voice.

If the earth is constantly moving, how can it be the centre of the universe ?
We don't know how big is the universe, so probably the entrr of the universe is endless too. Maybe the universe is moving too.
I think it is like the wheels on a car, they are moving but they a re at the same spot on the car.
However I don't think this place is the center of the universe. That would mean earth is the center of the universe and no, we aren't that unic.

1:00 she says the bridge was open to 'Vee Hickles' - me and my wife were just wondering who this is? Does anybody know?
"Me and my wife..."??? Properly, one puts the other person first when including them in any conversation, so it should have been "My wife and I..."
You can't very well criticize another person's speech anomalies when you are far from perfect yourself.
