I think it's a one time thing. Hero is too slow to match up to most of the top tiers in this game.
Once you learn to read his spell list as he pulls it, you can shut down his options
I think the hero was just that good. I also feel like when the guy got crits that's the main reason he got a couple kills and major damage but I think this guy is just that good. Any hero could do that but what most do is spam whatever loves they see first on the magic menu thing

1:11 I main Hero, and tbh reading and memorizing the spells took a bit getting used to and using them quickly under pressure. Usually it takes me about 1/2 of a second to identify 2-4 of the spells in the menu, then pick whichever spell I see that I feel most keen on using depending on where the opponent is. Sometimes I pick too quickly which just results in "Random bullsh*t go!" But other than that I've memorized all 22 spells

5:43 this exact reason is why joker is one of my least favorite matchups, his guns are probably the best thing in the entire game at edge guarding hero, they prevent zoom, and if you try to up B it just cancels it until you slowly fall into the void. it's also extremely annoying when he has arsene because then it makes it extremely difficult to use menu. Im not sure how akakikusu beat zackrays joker, and it will probably never happen again, but i really hope to see more big hero players. characters got potential, people just havent optimized him

WaDi, joker's down gun is a disjointed hitbox according to both SSBU and UFD. So if you use down gun, you can use it to edge guard while staying out of your oponent's range, bayo's gun art is also a disjointed hitbox.

This is a hot take, but I think every character is top tier in this game, I feel like Japan is simply a lot more innovative and creative with how to play characters on a competitive level, and as such constantly push the boundaries of what characters can do, making any character they show to be good a “new” top tier, when they’ve been good all along and no ones really realized

I think he's a mid tier character normally with the ability to be a hightier with even 1 buff and a top 1 character when he starts throwing things like Kaboom, Thwack, Kamakaze, Magic Burst, Hocus Pocus, Neutral B 3, all 3 buffs and Crits.
When a Hero is just getting completely oppressed, he can't menu and he's just getting out frame datad, his bairs and nairs are getting stuffed or baited out his flaws really show like a sore thumb but with Ultimate's engine this is surprisingly not a consistent gameplan and you're going to be forced to deal with Hero playing his game too more often than not. The thing about Hero is his RNG "bullshit" isn't that uncommon and in a full 5 game, 2-3 set Hero will probably steal like 7 or 8 stocks with his super gimmicks completely uncontested and when you look at it like pre nerf Wario could steal 5 stocks in a 5 game set this number becomes very impressive.
On top of the lunacy that is all of this stuff Side B 2 is a contender for 1 of the best moves in the entire game and multiple characters would KILL for this move.
Panda: IS (Low/Mid Tier) BROKEN?!?!?!
And then the video is ALWAYS:
1. A Japanese tournament
2. The person using the low tier playing out of his damn mind completely unrelated to his character
3. His opponent being on literal crack cocaine for how godawful they played in THIS EXACT set
4. Ten One-in-a-trillion occurrences in a row, all in favor of the low tier
5. Barely getting the win

Hero is a very solid character- on a good day. Imo the only reason he isn't a top tier is because he can be inconsistent. Rng is never something you want to bring into a competitive setting imo, but hey, when it works it pops off!

One day top players will know which of hero's moves are which and what they do before calling him mid tier
I've played hero before he came Into smash, And i Personally Think that he just Is the best charcter he gets Buffs, slashes, Crits, Kill power, and Zoning Methods, and The only thing that i think ruins him is frame data, Mana Points don't kill him if you know how to use it properly unless You're a bad player,
But his frame data just makes it hard to Escape combos, or combo unless its up air but other then that HE IS THE GOD HE IS EVEN BETTER THEN PANDA GLOBAL
So I have a question. When offline returns and someone from japan is playing someone from the states and they use hero will the game text be put in Japanese or English? I feel like whoever it isn't in favor of is at a severe disadvantage unless they learned what every single hero spell is in every language. (Or at least the commonly used languages)
