T.N.O Executives at the top of big pharma maybe but don’t discount the work of the scientists in the lab who do not in fact get as big a wage as you may think. An above average wage is pretty small if it results in you saving millions of lives across the world... and even then just have some respect and gratitude for the intelligence of these people.

The amount of work, that needs to be done to get there, obviously needs to be compensated by the highest salaries in the community (and not the financial sector management like it is now the case).
A new breakthrough ‘treatment’ has been found in UK, it’s a treatment though not a vaccine, but hey atleast things could go back to normal in a shorter period of time.

Unless those emotions somehow benefit you, I recommend you to think more positive. This stuff is unpredictable. Many things could happen like us naturally becoming immune to the virus or the virus might mutate into a less dangerous strain. But until something happens, there's no reason for you to actually worry that much. But of course, do what you can as a human to help fight this virus.

That's not entirely true. There are some pretty famous scientists out there. Steven Hawking, Neil Degrasse Tyson, etc. Also, a profession in science is one of the highest paying occupations in the world. You may argue that ”not every scientist is recognized.” Then again, not every athlete in the world is getting the same recognition as LeBron James.

The race for the COVID-19 vaccine is the fastest in recent years. I'm looking forward to commercially-available vaccines by the end of 2020 to early Q1 of 2021, due in part to the partnership of many nations in sequencing the virus and scheduling a solidarity clinical testing. The question though is, how expensive will the vaccine be, and how quickly can these vaccines be manufactured?
@@JaybeePenaflor with the entire world and all sorts of parties and companies looking on their fingers for what they are doing I doubt it. maybe in the US the pharma companies have free reign because of lack of supervision but in countries with social healthcare the price of the vaccine will influence how much it will cost the country or insurance companies, meaning that they will leverage the best deal possible when they need to make it available for as low as possible to their entire population or possibly even free

The reality is that big pharmaceutical companies always take advantage of situations like these, going so far as possibly patenting the technologies behind the creation of the vaccines. Who wouldn't want to get vaccinated to be safe from the virus, right? But I do hope they set their interests aside and see the bigger picture here--that while the US leads the way in infected cases, many poorer countries have high death tolls because of the medical system and it would benefit these poorer countries if these vaccines are sold at a lower cost.

It's extremely unlikely that there's enough anti vaxxers to cause an issue. Every single person in a region doesn't need immunity (from vaccine or otherwise) to shrink the R value enough to make extreme impact. That being said, we WILL still have to deal with antivaxxers for a multitude of reasons, but it's not stopping us from making significant and meaningful impact against COVID-19.
Just for something positive to think about anti-vaxxers, just imagine how far humanity has progressed to get to a point where people can challenge logic so idiotically and manage to survive

The actual problem is not the creation of vaccine but the events that follow thereafter. Primarily, first is going to be the issue of patent and the next will be the duration of production and distribution, which in this case can be prolonged for a much longer period due to the widespread of the virus.

That's really not true, China is using this a ploy to make power moves and extend its influence, the USA is trying and failing to counter it. China is rallying it's army to attack many regions it lays claim to and with its recent cyberattacks on western research facilities it's trying to hasten it's vaccine research in order to use it as a bargaining chip in order to further it's position.
