  • Welcome to the first stop of our California road trip: Joshua Tree, CA! This desert oasis in Southern California has some of the most unique rock formations and desert landscapes in the world.
    In this video, we visit some of the iconic spots in and around Joshua Tree, give you our honest impressions of each place, AND share some tips for RV camping in the area! I honestly wish we could have stayed longer - there is SO much more to explore and I can't wait to go back someday.

    ➡ ABOUT ME
    My name is Crosby and I am a freelancer and blogger currently working remotely and traveling the USA in a travel trailer with my boyfriend, Dylan! After a few corporate jobs throughout college, I quickly realized that the 9-5 lifestyle wasn’t for me. So I built up my freelance business, saved a bunch of money, and went on a 2-month Colorado road trip where I lived in my car while traveling and working remotely. Now, I’m traveling full-time in a travel trailer and sharing everything I learn on CZcams!

    So funny to see Pioneertown so popular, I grew up near there, back in the 80’s you’d go in and it was Pappy and Harriet serving you. It was just a dive bar back then. Joshua Tree was a National Monument and it was free and not very crowded.

    Pretty cool that military museum area since it's Memorial Day today. Awesome editing btw too with the videos/music put together. Looks like you guys got there with nice weather cause that place can get super hot. It's actually low 90's today with triple digits in a few days. Thanks for sharing Joshua Tree. Never been there but will be on my bucket list.

      I know right - how cool! So glad we got to visit that museum, it really is a hidden gem. And yes we got super lucky with the weather, I know it gets blistering during the summer. Hope you get to go someday!

    I spent a few years stationed at the 29 Palms Marine Corps Base. Spent many a weekend exploring Joshua Tree. The mountains are due to the surrounding area being High Desert (between 2,000 ft and 4,000 ft elevation). I really need to get back out that way sometime. It's a beautiful area to visit.

    Love the video, editing was great especially when you include the bloopers. You guys have a real talent for this. Love your spirit, your drive, and your smile and seeing you so excited. Looks like you’re experiencing Christmas Day every day. Keep that spirit in you. Hope down the road we see some videos of the sites you visit in the air with Dylan’s drone. And it looks like you stay in pretty remote areas. Any concerns leaving the travel trailer for any period of time?

    • @CrosbyGraceTravels
      @CrosbyGraceTravels  Před 3 lety +1

      Thank you so much!! Traveling lights me up so much, and I'm glad my enthusiasm is translated in my videos. We fly the drone when we can but there's usually restrictions in national/ state parks! And no, we don't usually have concerns because we're only gone for a few hours at a time and always check the reviews for the places we stay to make sure it's safe

    Super cool! I used to live in Arizona and they had jumping choiah cactus, or some people call teddy bear cactus bc they look fuzzy. Be super careful because if a piece pokes you, the more you move the more it digs into your skin. I personally haven’t even gotten poked it I’ve heard a lot of horror stories! No hate but be super careful! Also it’s pronounced ch-oy-ah

    JT is over-rated.
    Slow down a little.
    Great videos.

    • @chrisronin4421
      @chrisronin4421 Před rokem

      Why do you think it’s over rated? For someone who’s never been there it is probably a beautiful experience. Why do you criticize something just because you don’t like it?
