Just wonderful. Magical memories, brilliant horses. Still hard to watch Dancing Brave's Derby, but in defeat, what an incredible performance in the end. This is a beautifully crafted piece of television - thanks to all concerned.
My favourite trainer. I've been following his career since I was 5 years old! My hero in the sport of kings. A true legend.
@Tony Lan
It's just a shame he doesn't have the numbers these days.
Yes, such a master trainer. Never needed the full mighty support of Coolmore, unlike O'Brien.
Tony. Vincent was basically coolmore. I know what you mean about Aiden etc getting the support. Sir Michael got great support also getting all those home breds from aga Khan and Arab horses to train. Great trainers but Vincent was unreal as was completely involved in purchasing his horses at sales. Wonderful story about Vincent seeing Nijinsky by Chance and has to have him. Hence the foundation of coolmore as Nijinsky's sire was northern dancer and they concentrated on his off spring for a generation and coolmore stud started. Great trainers sir Michael, Aiden and others are but Vincent is alone and only trained 40-60 horses.
Great to see Sir Michael Stoute giving a long interview, usually he’s not one for talking, that’s his way, but he’s a great trainer.
Thanks again Rishi for another Brilliant interview
Sir Stoute a True Gentleman and Training Guru
Rishi thanks for making is possible for Sir Stoute to revisit His prominent horses
Best Stoute interview ever produced
One for the History chapters of British Racing
When you hear some of the names you get a tingle and the memories come flooding back. Well done all,a brilliant video.
Fantastic viewing, a true master of his art and great to see him back with a superstar in Desert Crown.
Sir Michael Stoute Thank You for your Great Work and your Personality you always have a Place in my Heart ! Baden - Baden is not the Same without your 2 Year Olds !

@@Nautilus1972 aftertiming a bet from over a year ago!!!!!!
@@Nautilus1972 why you talking about him Jim bolger trained him
After 30 years of watching Euro racing I've never noticed how thick his Caribbean is. True legend
Number 6 derby fa sure he soute is a big one hail to a big one
What a master and knowledge of this gentle man I've known of the thoroughbred trainer that he is since I was starting my apprentice ship as a apprentice jockey in 19-73 word class horse 🐎 horse trainer and a fantastic gentle man 1st class in every way lovely man to talk too amazing sir Michael god bless sir Michael stoute unique that gentle man that he is my own opinion the wee gallop man Joe🐎💯
Cheers Sir Michael!! (Alejandro from Argentina )
Nice,humble man.
fantastic interview. stoute seems a really nice bloke! and obviously one of the greatest trainers ever.
Excellent interview and kudos to Rishi Persad's encyclopaedic racing recall.
He had obviously been swatting up!
Great listen, keep them coming 👍
Jamie thanks
What a great man , enjoyed listening
Great video, thanks for this.
Absolutely Brilliant that. Sir Michael was amazing and Rishi and Steve were far from shabby.
This was really great. I'm surprised they didn't discuss Workforce at all, though.
So nice to hear Sir Michael mention Greville Starkey with such fondness. For many, he’ll be remembered for only one race but he deserves to be ranked among the greats. In my opinion, he was second only to Lester in a finish.
No he wasn't eddery cauthen Carson were much better
@@robertdelacy3434 I dispute that opinion. The ones you mention weren't "much better" and I'd put Greville on a par with any of them.
@@SpursFanCanada pat eddery was the best the other two were champion jockeys aswell. Starkey was just like spurs a let down on the biggest of days
i agree
Tommy Copper used to put 50p e.w on once or twice a year but only after very exhaustive form study 20 plus hours a day he was definitely a winner
Add 2022 Epsom winner Desert Crown to his training achievements.
A lifetime privileged with selectively chosen Horses, to enhance ones dreams...,
Stoute is so rarely interviewed in any meaningful capacity, its pretty crushing to see Rishi Persad given the chair.
i was a big Henry Cecil fan back in the day and the day Ezooud was to run against Sabre Hill at York on the way to the course i said to my mate 80/1 tote odds ,Ezzoud is mad he will beat Sabre today, he said im mad. i tipped it to my mates got to the course hes now 50/1 as soon as i go to back it the bookie slashes it to 25/1 and being a totally pig headed i wouldnt back it because i couldnt get the bigger price. what a twat but thats me. everyone knew i tipped it
Did they mention Conduit?
Rishi obviously been swatting up before hand. Lol a great fan od Sonic lady!!! Rishi was about 10 years old.
Hetts of sir
How can you talk about Shergar and not mention his tragic kidnapping?? A terrible story but to ignore it is ridiculous.
Totally agree makes me sick to think what these savages did to that animal …
17:10 Look at the first two jockeys pull their horses up out of the gates in a guineas. Terrible jockeys. Unbelievable.
Are you a jockey?
sonic lady
Terrible soundtrack now and again ruins video.
This bloke thinks Zilzan was a better miler than Frankel??????
He never said that
*What was Lester Piggot Like as a person, did he sign autographs, was he popular with the other jockeys and trainers, in the USA there are jockeys with 5500 to 8000 wins, are these American Legends better, was Lester tight with money, did he ever buy a Rolls Royce, was his wife happy, so many unanswered questions, rumours are circulating he was not a pleasant or nice guy to know. In fact, hated amongst fellow Jockeys.*
He’s not the greatest interviewee
