The "challenges" were supposed to represent common low elo scenarios. This is getting out of hand
But commentary section is happy, so it's fine.
to be fair, this serves to illustrate a point- that because he can't make his challenger level macro decisions the way he wants, the game is significantly harder. he makes the decisions some people make without the challenge being a concern and gets punished for them, because they're not the best decision. the gold loss is just to reinforce said punishment to the level that a less skilled player would feel by being unable to switch off that challenge lol.

without minimap because he should easily be able to calculate the positions by looking on the minimap.
How is that easier? He won't be able to see anything when the camera is zoomed all the way in.
@@VLAUR1 Thinking about it, it might be harder I guess, if he is going right up to his opponents so they can be seen on screen he can hit them. But doing so would probably be suicide, I admit. Nonetheless it would be entertaining.

man , i was on my promos and forgot to pick smite by accident, its a real pain. you dont even get level 2 by clearing the camp, and pretty much you cant clear any camp cause you are always super low hp. its really a mess.

@@FunkyyCat_ I was using blitz.gg an app which auto import runes. O picked mundo jungle and the app for some reason recognized him as top lane (even when I was a jungler as role) so it changed my spells as well. I never used this app again since 😅
@@FunkyyCat_ Also this could apply to when the game didn't auto set smite for the jungle a few patches ago
This reinforces a few lessons I've learned from playing custom 1v5 games with bots.
1. A single death can cost you the game. Play safe and avoid dying if at all possible.
2. Kills aren't important in and of themselves, gold and exp is.
Skill cap: Hector, play low elo.
Hector: say no more
Hector: *plays platinum*
D4 and lower is low elo. So plat is low elo. Yes.

@@bryniac5 the title says every time he recalls,if he dies it's technically a recall because of the animation of spawning.

I have a question. How often does Hector fail challenges because of that third rule (at 1:05)? And what kind of insanity did we miss out on because of it?
considering he failed this one and they still uploaded it, I would imagine this is the first fail.
Well, he technically won this game, but he didn't carry so I'm kinda unsure if this is a fail or not. There isn't a rule saying that he has to carry or do great, so I'd say that he technically didn't fail here. Maybe there should be a rule like that, so he can't just rely on better teammates/team comps.
But yeah, it's possible that SkillCapped might upload games where Hector gets stomped too. I just assumed that they didn't, because this is the first ever challenge that he actually sort of "failed". And you wouldn't learn that much from failed challenges either (although I guess they're more about experimenting, but still).
@@sandortojzan5409 he failed the challenge. At the end he says "okay fine, challenge failed, let's not troll" and doesn't sell his prowlers. That's why they win, he gave up on the challenge so he doesn't troll his team
Oh crap, I didn't notice that. My bad, I should have payed more attention.
So I guess SkillCapped WILL upload failed challenges after all, which is a delight. But maybe there are some more of this stupidity in their official site, who knows (unless at one point, they said that they upload every challenge of Hector onto CZcams, don't remember though).
@@sandortojzan5409 I think there was another challenge which he failed and they uploaded, I think it was an ADC one?? He made one mistake that cost the game, but other than that, his play was pretty much perfect
Challenge idea: We payed Hector's teammates to run it down just to prove that low elo is easy.

Challenge: I wanna see if Hector can win mid by playing Aurelion, since his mechanics are so different to most other midlaners.
the most instructive challenge to me was the yuumi solo lane fundamentals challenge, so i'm wondering if we could get a solo lane braum fundamentals challenge for all us melee players. It would be arguably easier because you have your shield and a slightly better q, but it would be harder because you can't abuse your range. Would be interesting to see imo :)
Challenge: Carry a Mid diamond game as ADC with one of the solo laners afk / inting. Now this is a real challenge where most challengers cant achieve.
I think Hector can succeed in that provided the other 3 players are doing ok, the main problem is that skill capped can't publicly endorse purposefully letting a premade solo laner go afk and it will take a long time for such a situation to occur naturally.

But Hector is destined to suffer these challenges in low elo. Diamond isn't high elo but I think all these challenges were done in Plat or lower xD

You could have done this like sell an item, so he would have to plan his bases to have something he can buy, but it can’t be a trol item like a faerie charm or has to be at least 1000g or something like that
I've got a question on the paid guide on your site. Does it also include champion specific guides? For example, I play almost always Gangplank; is there a guide that focuses solely on him?
Pretty sure they also do that. They have a clear-guide for every specific jungler too after all, so why not guides for specific laners

How do I get out of low elo, once I got put into SmurfQ? Im hardstuck Gold 4 and play against 5x 70%+ wr enemies every game (all new Level 30 accs).. I manage to not int and try to play for macro but my team doesn't manage to play against 5 smurfs... Which I can't blame them for but it's just 0 fun to play for me.

Dying, without being executed, shouldn't have required selling an item in this challenge. Recall is different from returning to fountain via death.
Challenge: Hector cannot use recall. He can either die, or walk back to base.

He could've went to the base on foot and avoid selling items because he didn't recall

New Challenge: Play without using ultimate on a champion that has a powerful one
A way to make this challenge easier would be to buy just components until he has enough to buy like 2-3 items out of his components. If your most expensive inventory item is a serrated Dirk then you want lose 900 each time u base but only like 300-400 (idk what the sell value is tbh).
This shows that being greedy for kills and forcing risky plays is the perfect way to lose. I was surprised how much that challenge made Hector affected his decision making.
My personal idea for a challenge is something froggen did, a no mouse karthus challenge. No rebinding right click to any of the keyboard buttons

I do not agree with your philosophy that he should have only one shot at it, since that, statistically speaking, does not prove any thing! You should however make him play 10 games and see what percentage of the games he will win ( as well as in how many of them, he got carried)

Next challenge Hector Q up in flex q that will be garented to feed 0/5 KDA aka they run it down the players must be silver or gold or low plat and he can play any champ at any role and solo carry the game

It's really easy to play around this by buying nothing but the small components into all the medium components until it's almost time to end the game
The hard part is keeping a lead without a Mythic item for so long
That chall is brutal.
Challenge: Only one item from each rarity allowed (for example, one mythic, one legendary, etc.)
Potions and wards do not count, so you can get as many of those as you want.

Next Challenge: Hector can only lead his team. He cannot CS, damage champions, damage objectives, heal others, nothing. Just pings, writing to his team, vision, items with passive buffs, being in the right place. Not sure about elo, I think it should be done a couple times on different elos to compare the results.
