Also when I did some digging I found it to be head heavy and I think in the video where you compare balance you share the info about Thruster FC instead Thruster F which has a different head space is actually a lighter head compared to the F model. Just FYI.

Thanks for the review, awesome head design I'll definitely check it out! I'm in agreement with you on weight, balance and stiffness, average being perfect with the strings and tension fine-tuning the feel. Really like that the racket is also rated for higher string tensions too, Victor stands by their quality whereas the other big brand is sorely wanting here.

I've been thinking of getting a new racket once Covid is over. I don't have much power, and rely on the racket to be as efficient as it can be at transferring my limited power. I think most people would be interested if the racket can still return reasonably, when a bad return was made, and how it compares with other all rounder rackets. Hehe but I doubt anyone would admit to that. I played with a few brands before, and so far I find Yonex hurts my hand the least when a bad shot is played.

Nice review. Would have loved to hear you say the real colour name "moonless night". You certainly have some influence over us, since this racket is sold out in a flash. It seems to resemble my duora 55 in specs, but the duora has a hard to hit sweetspot on a higher tension (12kg). I guess that's what you get when skimping on your gear. Must say you're getting pro at youtube: clickbate-title, mentioning the sponsor in the video without it getting tedious, keeping it light and fresh (with a small joke 2:35). 👍
Would love to see a video on string tensions. (if you haven't made one already) What changes according to low-mid-high tension. Effect or no effect when going beyond the recommended tension. What it does to someone of a certain level (beginner/club/professional). Thanks for the review (must be one of the first on this racket).

Update: this Victor is a touch more headheavy than my duora. Not too much like my Astrid 5fx. Just enough. The handle feel is really noticable in a good way. It is like it gives an added snap. It is so userfriendly it makes everthing feel easy and makes the shuttle go as i wanted it to go. No regrets grom this buy.

Hi guys! Thanks for the regular video uploads. I always have fun watching your videos, especially since your production has become so much better compared to your first videos. Still, I wanted to give you feedback on this video. In my opinion, this video blurs the line between advertisement and other, regular content. I feel like this video came out of nowhere and does not fit to your other content too well. Why is that? You usually don't talk too much about equipment. You only talk about this racket, but not about others. That is rather a problem of Victor, not yours. As a consumer, I don't have an overview on what other rackets are offered by Victor. For Yonex, CK Yew provides great content, which gives me the opportunity to compare which racket would suit me the most. This is also a suggestion: I would love for you and Victor to give us more detailed guides on how all or most of their rackets are weighted and what their specifics are like.

    Hello Greg and Jenny,
Hope you guys are well and continue to make more videos for the badminton community. Thank you for the work you guys do, much appreciated.
Got the racket a few months now and set up with the following:-
Victor Thruster F Enhanced (Black and Gold)
    4U
Yonex Aerosonic at 32/30 lbs (pre-stretched)
Its bonkers!!! (my now go to racket of choice and recommendation)
I was very hesitant to jump to Victor as a very long time Yonex user and also just got the Yonex Astrox 100 ZZ too (jumped as I am convinced by you guys). But as I mainly play doubles and most preferred to play at the rear, the 100 ZZ felt the best option for me. (Until now.......). Yes, I do lose some power and steep angle on my smashes but I gain the extra control for my net shots and drives. Defence also becomes so easy. Clears become so easy. The control, the feel, the transitions from back to front and side to side, its so much more fluid.
It also gives that confidence to play more and also it made me challenge myself to go for the tighter shots and such a confidence booster.
Currently looking for my 3rd piece but no more stock available in Australia.
Keep it up guys!!! I'm a convert thanks to you guys.
    Cheerios.

I bought the Thruster F Claw Tai Tzu Ying (newer model) and it's quite nice. It's easier to hit than my Astrox 99pro but has less power. I also use the Victor to play doubles as I think it's faster. The Astrox 99pro is a work horse for singles though. I would say that the Astrox is also a little head heavier than this one. I cranked up the Victor all the way to it's limit at 31 pounds and it is fantastic for net play.
BTW, thanks for your videos. They are very informative, especially the ones about tactics. I didn't use to play a lot of doubles and you guys cover all the bases that I am not aware of.

      @iix23 Pƙed 2 lety +1

@@zenith5795 I can only compare it to Yonex products. (88d pro and 99 pro).
      I am 185cm (5'10") and weight about 90kg (200 pounds) intermediate player.
It feels lighter in my hand. Mid stiff compared to the other 2 rackets. They say it is head heavy but, nothing compared to the 88d pro and the 99 pro. Power-wise, it's short versus the 2 others but it makes up with speed and a bigger sweet spot (very useful when playin doubles.)
It's easy to dig shots with it as you can string it up to 32 pounds and it shines at the net.
I bought it to play doubles as the game is faster.
On a personal note, I pack muscles and I am not lengthy so, perhaps that is why it feels light in my hand.
I also enjoy the lack of vibration when cracking the shuttle at full force doing clears.
It is also easy to use compared to the other two. The 99 pro is especially taxing when playing long rallies.
Would I buy it again? Yes, I am not sure what else I could find in that range and quality. Here is one thing I know,,, When I miss a shot with this racket, I am 100% that it is because of me and not my equipment.
      I hope this helped.

@@iix23 I currently play with Astrox 88D Game ( lower model of Pro ) and Nanoflare 800 ( My first high end racket). I'm an Intermediate+ player. My first preference was 100zz but popular opinion is that it's crazy stiff and meant for advanced player. Now I'm looking for mid flex head heavy racket with big sweet spot. I play mostly doubles but improving as a singles player. I can generate decent power through NF800 which is on stiffer side and is even balanced. Considering this would you recommend Thruster K-fc to me or I should choose between 88D pro and 100zz or look any other way ( Lining).

    • @iix23
      @iix23 Pƙed 2 lety

@@zenith5795 I am not sure that I am qualified to answer that question.
My club house has many demos to try and in the case of the "Thruster F Claw Tai Tzu Ying" I asked another player if I could try it for a warm-up.
I found that other players are usually happy to lend you their racket for a try, especially if you have one of equal quality for them to try.
One thing I want to make clear though is that if your a guy who's games is based on smashing, this would certainly not be my first choice and if I was only playing singles, that would also not be my first choice.
As for stiffness (100zz), I think that one can work around this problem.
I play around 2-3 hours weekdays every morning (5:30 am to 8:30 am) . Usually my partners and I, open that session with a 30 minutes of "work" like let's say I want to practice my backhand so, they will give the shuttle only on my backhand and I do the same for them. I use that time to break-in a new racket. There is nothing more fun than to get a good crack out of a difficult racket to play.
Also, I am not focus on winning every points. I play badminton to stay in shape and get a good sweat (as I hate running.). At my age, I am not aiming for the Olympics but I want to make sure that my short comings are not due to poor equipment quality.
This racket "Thruster F Claw Tai Tzu Ying" qualifies as an excellent product (in my opinion.) and as my "intermediate level" indicates, I am pretty sure that I am not even getting 60% out of what it can do.
At one point, a player has to take responsibility for his game. I see "pros" here in Taiwan dismantling other players with a 50$ racket for fun. Ha ha ha

I would agree with the TK-FC being the best Victor racket in combination with the VBS 63. What about for other racket brands? Most people are brand conscious and do have a bias for one brand over another.
I've found that even the same racket would give a different feel of play and performance when the string is changed to a different type. A comparison video might be a good idea to take up in the future regarding this.

As always when looking for a new racquet the hardest thing is getting hold of some to test - do TRME offer a trial service?
The only place I know that has a really convenient system is Mark Lawrence at Wycombe where you can 'rent' a racquet for a few quid and of course there are decent courts on site. (pretty much Yonex only though)
Last time I changed I considered the JS10 but was put off by the grommet sinking issues and ended up with 88S...which are very good but not quick enough. I was thinking of trying the Nanoflare 800 but maybe the Thruster F is worth a test.
Gotta get it right as it's a lot of money....especially if you're buying a few!

How does Jenny cope with such a heavy racket at the net?
My first (and second) impressions are that it's a split second slow. So now I'm hitting net kills into the net.
My smashes are back to being like when I used to have an Arcsaber 10 though. Or like when I manage to get the sweetspot on the Nanoflare.
Is it just a matter of using a training racket every now and again? đŸ€”
