- F 1 error code popped up after a crash on my 2022 Apollo Air. It was a loose connector under the display for the brake lever. When I crashed, the lever rotated downwards significantly, and I didn't think much of it as it kept running and I got where I needed to go. For the rider back I got the code on the display and it would not run. This video shows where the connector is and how to remove the display to access it. I hope this is useful for anyone else. I'm not sure if this code is generated for anything else (another harness loose). Be safe and wear your gear - no injuries from the crash other than a little pride.
One correction, the set screw for the display is in the rear side of the stem just above the hook that folds out. IN the video I said it was in the front and that's not the case.
Not mentioned was how I crashed. Basically a low-side on sloped pavement (riding on the side of it) along with some loose dirt. On a motorcycle this wouldn't have been a problem, so lesson learned to not trust the traction as much despite the pneumatic tires.
I received the upgrade bar handle and when I finished the installation all worked normal, however as soon as i adjusted the brake levers to tilt them to my liking the brake cable got pulled and immediately after the E1 error code showed up. I stripped all the connectors and nothing is loose, any advice here? Customer support is not an option as I had the same issue with a brand new one that i returned because of exactly the same issue. Apollo support is helpless.
Any way to check the wires with a volt meter? I couldn't tell you what's supposed to have power or not but it might be good to check the continuity as well.
How did you open the screen?
Can the regen brake be lubricated? My throttle sticks sometimes, prompting the F1 error message.
