I was happy when pulling a lot of ex/full arts from the scarlet etb (I usually have bad luck when it comes to etb pulls)

Yea I open for enjoyment and value . But prob going to not preorder anymore of these SV future sets. Maybe just blisters . I don’t see the craze of hard pulls ever coming back again

For me personally, I'm not in it for the value. I really enjoy the art work in this series. With the few packs I opened, I did managed to get some nice cards.
Same but it’s still so expensive for me I only opened 5 packs but still pretty fun
I did bought one on releases date. I got gold Miraidon ex, Alt art Miriam, full art arven And both normal Gardevoir/Miraidon Ex. I’m really happy I got the Miriam.
Definitely a great box, it was my first booster box and it was really fun to open. I think I’m pretty lucky 🍀😃

Really appreciate your channel, I like the education, authenticity of your love of Pokémon cards, and your even keel approach! Lost a ton on these booster boxes, not after money but these were tough in general w the cost etc. 🍻
my single box was $120 on amazon and pulled 7 hits not including regular EXs. pulled a gold psychic energy, alt koraidon, full art koraidon, full art trainer. I've never had so much variety and quantity. one my favorite boxes I've opened just for the pleasant surprises even tho I didn't break even. ill probably open one more just to have more of the alt arts
The quality was ehh.. more than half of the alt arts I got had horrible centering.. but overall got 1 of my chase cards, so I was happy.
I’ve opened 4 booster boxes so far
In each booster box I got an illustrator rare, 1st koraidon, 2nd penny, 3rd jacq, 4th Miriam….almost convinced it’s one per box
My family has only opened 1 booster box and 2 ETBs. I pulled the Miriam out of each ETB (bought at 2 different stores). We don't really collect trainers so I went ahead and sold both of them.
The only SV booster box I've opened so far was pretty good! I got a few Illustrator Rares, the Gardevoir ex IR and my #2 chase, the Miriam full art.
I'll be waiting a while to buy another one, and I'm planning to start buying singles to be more conscious of my spending. If BBs dip to $100, I'll bite though haha

The reason it was acceptable to pay 170usd for a box was cause of the great potential of a single card be worth more than the box. I don’t get how people accept Pokémon removing all that value yet keeping the price much higher. Bring back the packs to 3usd then this would be ok. Now they are 6usd.
Collectibles are not about the money for moneys sake, but anything fun to collect is something not everyone has and that means high price. What is the point of everyone has the same thing.
Bit late but i opened like 8 boxes over a month and a half, it helped me destress during my last three weeks of last semester, also the chase for the whole gardevoir rare art line and full art miriam which i pulled in my last two boxes. I bought each box at 107 each from amazon so not terribly expensive
I prefer the sub sets cus they are easier to complete and look great in a stand alone binder.
I bought 2 and opened one so far, It was taking up a lot of time so I didn’t get to the second one. Might I keep it sealed honestly.
I’ve been getting booster packs for $2 and selling repacks with 3 holos (1 pack worth) for $3. Makes sense to me 👍🏼
Strong box opening, I think the next set will be lack luster as well. Preordered 2 booster boxes for $210 which is extremely cheap when compared to msrp.

I used to hate on 5ban graphics too BUT the rainbow burning shadows Zard is 5ban graphics art as well as rainbow vstar from brilliant stars. But I get it however there are a few exceptions.
There are some decent 5ban cards but generally they are just boring designs, I’d almost describe them as generic

The reason I open packs isn't to sell them or get value from them. It's really to see if I can get a full (basic) set. First box I opened of SV and I nearly got the full 198 set. Just missing a buncha EX cards. If I get Secret Rares that's great, but not chasing them.
I got very lucky with my booster box...golden hyper rare koraidon ex, 3 Illustration Rares, and i believe 2 full-art cards, one pokemon and one trainer...and i think 2 normal ex's.
It's funny you said that when you just mentioned you wouldn't get that on one box. I did pull both. In one box.
Bought a booster box one day one launch without really looking into the set ahead of time, grabbed it just because it's a hobby I share with my wife.
Pulled alt art Miriam and was like 'ah, cool I guess, hope for something better though'
Checked values later on and was amazed lmao
I've been fairly lucky on the boxes I've crack, getting enough art rares to break even. I have all three of the gardevoir line illustration cards. Still no Miriam. Welp, Another box next paycheck.

The only people getting boxes at like $60 are those who have retailer connections. Really you'd be lucky to get a box for $100 for the vast majority.
At that price it can be hard to break even. But the boxes are full of playable cards and there's some real gems.

Personally i like full art pokemon cards almost as much as alt art. Full art v cards r so underrated they have awesome texture and holo patterns. And best thing is they’re so cheap and they make amazing binder fillers
+1 for full art cards. I mostly just try to collect all the full arts

Fun fact, after hearing you talk about the Gardevoir ex card in a recent video, I decided to go on eBay to see what they were going for. Most going around $40-$70 it seemed and I was lucky enough to snipe one for $27! Can’t wait to receive it!
I hope you receive it in great condition... that's a pretty good deal. Actually, I think that should be the real value, so good for you. @$40+ it is over valued for it's rarity. There are a ton too many of them listed.... but prices still hovering too high.

For value, no but who cares. For enjoyment? Absolutely 100% yes. Do this for fun not a life savings.
Actually most booster boxes have 2 SIR, It's not rare to get 2 of them. You will most likely only get one if you pull a hyper rare(gold) card but my first booster box I pulled a gold and 2 SIR. Most boxes I've seen(40-50+, I watch too much CZcams)of S&V you either get 2 SIR or 1 SIR and 1 Hyper Rare. Of course there are exceptions but the vast majority of booster boxes work that way and 12 hits is average. 4-6 Double Rare, 2-3, IR, 2-3 Ultra Rare, 1-2 SIR, and no guarantee on getting a hyper rare but if you do you are more likely to get only 1 SIR but can still get 2.
It's supposed to be fun, it's a game. All of the talk about value and getting your money back on CZcams is getting to be a bit sad. It's nice to see someone like you doing it for what it was meant to be, for the fun of it all.

My ETB's and 1 Booster Box literally stabbed me and left me to die in an alley. IT WAS HORRIFIC YES

No they arent. I got big hits on light packs and on heavy ones
@@spicesmuggler2452 yes they are #1 there are a bunch of videos showing this and I also weigh my packs with new sets and the heavy packs 100% had a hit not saying there can't be hits in light packs but there is a point that's 100% a hit

Blanket general answer to this question: it’s almost never worth it to open sealed product of ANY card game. The reason is, it would break the system. You could just keep buying sealed and increasing your card value for as much product as you can possibly buy.
Not true, you used to be able to pull massive hits but that means not every box. Now every box is similar meh this means no winners and everyone kinda loses.

Its totally worth it! People should open it for enjoyment and not for value! Its awesome that you highlight that, the amount of people in the hobby for money is too much lol

The answer for litterly every set ever both already made and future sets is the same as always. No. The answer is always no at the end of the day it's not even just if u manage to hit the chase card ( most often u simply won't ) but then there is the question of condition which in English is rarely a decent cut/centering and then even if u pull a good condition chase card it doesn't mean u can get the market assigned value and that value assigned is on top of all that very volatile.
So short answer no it's never worth it value wise. However value isn't the only reason to open booster boxes part of it for me is also the fun of opening packs and seeing all the arts even the common once hench why I usually end up buying a few. Each to their own at the end of the day.

I cannot ensure the validity of my sealed products anymore. Therefore, I will be exiting the hobby. Just realized my 25th anniversary ultra premium box is resealed.
This set is so mid to me. It doesnt feel as good to open as any Sword and Shield set. This box will be at $100 or less very soon.
The hit rates are so much better than any set from sword and shield without a trainer gallery. If it drops that low I’m buying them up lol

Is it me…or am I the only one who thinks S&V is shit?the top cards worth about £70…the cards are not really that nice,the sets full of tg,gg,sar,sat,ssrrra now all this trash.bring back swsh tbh.ok the pull rates were hard but at least the cards were a bit exclusive if you pulled them.all I’ve seen is everyone seems to be selling all their pulls..pokemon have put too many cards in the set now.and filled it with the odd tg card you pull.
