I enjoy the flag section (the flags was why I first started watching the videos in the first place when they were still included in the main videos), and also the corrections and additional facts. Not super interested in the section reading letter and receiving gifts, but I think that serves an important part for the community as a way to have a two way communication and to be able to show their appreciation! Unless these videos require a lot of resources, I would like to see them continue until the final country!

Actually hamams in Tunisia existed way long before islam , we had spa hamams since B.C ,water is a huge thing in Tunisia , we still had the ruins of Water Temple and of water transmitting and heating infrastructure which is really amazing .
One thing you should've mentioned when talking about Star Wars is that it almost caused a real war between Tunisia and Libya.
Description: Libya (under the rule of Muammar Gaddafi at the time) threatened the Tunisian government that if they didn't remove a military vehicle from their border then there would be a conflict. Turns out that military vehicle was a Jawa Sandcrawler
"Gadaffi declares war on Jawa. Empire vows to keep out of it" would be a good headline

Yes, I do watch these. Mainly for the corrections, the things you couldn't fit, and of course, THE FLAG. But I usually drop when you do fan mail.
Same. I enjoy the flag and coat of arms explanations, but I tend to tune out the fan Mail section when it comes up. (It’s got every right to exist; I’m just not interested in that part.)

I love watching flag Fridays. It was one of my favourite parts of the original videos, I happen to love learning the meanings of each glad and emblem/shield.
I think Tunisia's episode was one of the most unique and amazing ones by far especially with Sami and Ahmed and the amazing crew
I feel totally the opposite. No history section, no famous tunisians (with exception of the music stars)? One of the weaker episodes.

I watch the flag/fan videos, too. It's good to see a channel in dialogue with its viewers. I like their informality and the fact that you never know quite what to expect.
YES ! We are still watching and love these. They are very informational and the flag/coat of arms of every country is fascinating and unique. Plus the mail is always super random and interesting every time! Can't wait for more FLAG FAN DAYS! Maybe you can set up the camera and mail to open in some interesting area of LA? Like the beach, the Venice basketball courts, Getty Museum view, Hollywood sign, The Queen Mary in Long Beach, Staples Center (or whatever its called now)... Maybe get someone to do some mild security to secure the area with some ropes or something so nobody bugs you in the filming. Plus you could talk about where you are? Might be a cool change up?
man that Bay of Tunis flag with out any contexts is just really cool. Like I could see someone make a neat tapestry out of it with a extended version (like replicate the exact shape and all only change the dager with other similar neat items. like a shield, a water jug. and what not.)

Glad you’re inclined to keep flag/fan Friday vids! Sometimes I miss the main video of a country because busyness, but I don’t think I’ve ever missed one of the Friday videos. And I’ve been watching since one of the A countries (went back & watched all), subscribed a few episodes later. Just a retired engineer & geography nerd, no Geo degree. Loved the funky just-you early work but I’m still here because I love that you’ve kept that format plus always getting better more professional presentations. Keep up Friday bloopers & flag/coat of arms & community vlog if you can all the way through Z - Thanks!

Like these videos, I don't want them as much as the regular episodes but I definitely am going to start watching them more
African Romance still persists to this day. Here a few examples of it in Tunisian Derja:
Overn = Foorno
Chicken = Fell'oos (Only for chicks)
Pennyroyal = Flayy'u. It is a STAPLE tunisian candy that you can usually buy for 5 cents or less.
Cat = Gattus. But then again "Cattus" itself is derived from Arabic...
Seaweed = Talga
And many, many, others...
Also: August in the Southern Littoral of Tunisia is still called "Awussu", but my understanding was that "Awussu" overlaps August and is actually mainly used by farmers in their work. It is more of a season than a month I think.

I think it's awesome you have such a great relationship with your mom. Way back when I was your age, hanging around with my parents was about last on my priority list. Now that my mom has succumbed to Alzheimer's that is something I regret. So good on ya, enjoy the time you have, and thank you for the great content that you provide!
