    Rukh wont survive a dragon. but it will trade. The dragon will ping the shield the second its played and then it will deal 11 damage back to it. Unless they choose to deal the damage to your base (which they should not)

    where do you see dark saber in boba green/sabine green fitting in? I thought it is one of the must-have cards as an upgrade to aggro decks

    • @SWUDAD
      @SWUDAD  Před 23 dny

      I can see someone playing 1-2 in their list. For me personally though, there is so much removal I think that it can be very useful in the matchups against aggro, but very easy to play around with decks that have spot removal. Blue has so much spot removal now that I just see the unit getting removed so often and easily after it has been attached. I also think there are so many ways to destroy upgrades that you will often spend 4 resources which is a lot in an aggro deck to play it, and that it is easily removed and you become behind a turn.
      I chose to go with more cheap instant speed ways to push damage like "Heroic Sacrifice, and Surprise Strike". But again I think it could be very strong against aggro

    • @losdetos
      @losdetos Před 20 dny +1

      @@SWUDAD the removal is a very good point. Gonna be interesting how the meta will evolve around it and whether upgrade decks can compete eventually. Thanks for the input, appreciate it!

    Why no Darksaber in your Yellow Sabine?

    • @SWUDAD
      @SWUDAD  Před 25 dny

      Absolutely! Just more focused on smuggle, and sneak attack and pushing damage with cheap options. You could definitely put one in there.
      My thinking on Darksaber in Sabine is it’s an expensive card that can be easily removed whether the unit is killed or the upgrade is. I can definitely see the reason someone would want to play 1-2. I just prefer sneak attack, surprise strike, and heroic sacrifice as my ways to push damage with units. They are cheap, and surprise strike and heroic sacrifice are immediate effects. I could see it being very good in mirror matches. I chose “Shoot First” as my tool for that matchup

    @MeepleonFire Před 27 dny +1

    A Vador without healing and a 25hp base is just suicidal against aggro. Even with yularen, the machup was almost unwinable set 1 against a good Sabine player.

    • @SWUDAD
      @SWUDAD  Před 27 dny

      This Vader Green deck does have Healing with Consortium StarViper (better in here because of Timely and ECL), and Reinforcement Walker. Yularen is in the sideboard for additional life gain for the aggro matchups. If you feel you are going to be playing against a ton of Aggro than you just take out 3x Krayt Dragon and put in the 3x Yularen in the mainboard for additional early life gain.
      I have played Vader a ton, and in testing so far "timely intervention" helps a lot with these matchups. I do think that you may need to add more sentinels (possibly the BlackStarOne in space). The ability to ramp quicker helps you to get to your bigger units, get Vader the leader out sooner, and your Reinforcement Walkers out to stabilize.
      You also have a ton of removal to slow them down early. Ruhk acts as a removal spell that can be used more than once. I'd say test it out, but for me I feel very confident against aggro with this build, and would just bring in Yularen in a Bo3 matchup

    • @MeepleonFire
      @MeepleonFire Před 27 dny

      @@SWUDAD yeah that makes sense but basicly if you dont find a consortium star viper early you're fucked. Aggro is way too fast especially on a 25 hp. And in all tournaments or showdown, there are at least 25% of aggro, so you need to take it into consideration. Im pretty confident that if you take that deck in a showdown, a good aggro player has a 85% win against that. Even with ECL consortium, the deck was getting crushed. So I dont see how paying one more to get ambush is gonna help. And if he brings out a millenium falcon, it's over you just have open fire to deal with it.

    • @SWUDAD
      @SWUDAD  Před 27 dny +1

      @@MeepleonFire Yea I totally agree in set 1 you needed the 30 hp base. And I still think that choosing the hp base is fine, but the point I am making is that with 4 ways to ECL units in, in addition to all of your other removal spells the 25 hp base does not feel as bad. In testing I have been beating aggro regularly. You don't necessarily need the StarViper early to win, but absolutely putting Yularen in will make it even more in your favor.
      If it starts to feel that aggro is just too fast with some of these new cards than I will switch back to the 30 hp base. But so far in testing it has not been a problem. ECL has often been a positive thing to help deal with threats early and not have to find a piece of removal. "Timely Intervention" has really helped the deck have a consistent way of removing threats combined with the removal you were already playing until you are able to stabilize.
      Try them both out and let me know what you find!! Cool channel btw!! Subscribed!
