Hey guys glad to see your both doing good. Mark/Sue God has blessed you both with a life style that allows you to do what your doing when you want to do it. Mark I understand your comment around doing your taxes, that more went out than came in, but trust me you can not put a value on living the life style you want to live. Myself and Kathy are thankful every day that we can do what we are doing in retirement. So what’s on our schedule two weeks ago we attended the Gator National drag races, we leave Tuesday to head to Richmond VA For our next NASCAR race 3 more after that. Then in June we we see you at the NIRVC VIP event. I hope people that are not signed up to attend take the time to see what they will miss if they do no Attend. First off you get 4 days of camping with power and water and a free pump out service. 3 meals a day while your attending. As you both know the food will be VIP level, then at night entertainment by Josh Turner and Diamond Rio. One of the best thing I feel you will get to do is have face to face conversations with CEO/President and Engineers and design folks from all the top brands. No not just 5 minutes you will have time to have hours of conversations over the days. You will be the first group of people to see the new 2025 inventory 200 to 250 units and guess what you get to test drive as many as you want to drive. There will be supplies their like Freightliner and many others. Back in January Freightliner revealed there new chassis for the luxury line class A RV coaches to give people more options other that just Spartan. If you do purchase an Coach your money you spend is refundable up to one year.. Love the great conversation while out on a simple stroll around the resort. According to Forbes, I've just entered the achieve phase of life, based on life's four quarters. I'm starting to connect the dots in both saving and investing while living simple without the external influences from my peers. The end goal will, if all goes well, allow me to reap the harvest in my life's fourth quarter without much sacrifice to living my best life today. Watching your Journey In Myles channel speaks to me while helping direct my life's path. And, as the saying goes; "You only live once, but if you work it right, once is enough." Always love your comments Adam. All kidding aside to folks,..........save as much as you can when having fun is easy to do with free, physical adventures you can immerse in and experience.. When you get older, vacationing and having fun requires adventures that are a little more "prepackaged" for you. This means these adventures in life will be more expensive, and not quite the wow factor.

This is our second year of snowbirding in central Florida. We are in a smaller RV resort community and love it. We stay from December through the beginning of June, then head to explore. Our home used to be in a suburb of Rockford, IL. One of the first things we noticed here is that the Sun is much more direct. If you are in the shade with the usual light breeze, all is wonderful. Step out into the Sun and... man that's hot! We enjoy watching the rocket launches from the Cape. It is amazing that one can see the flame and the tube of the rocket from 70 miles away! We also love going to Jetty Park to see and feel the launches close up.
That sounds like a slice of Heaven. We also loved to camp at Jetty Park,..........but never saw a launch yet!

I know exactly what I was doing on March 10th, I was celebrating my 68th birthday with my wife of 48 years, our 4 kids and their spouses and all 9 grand children freezing my butt off here in Canada while you guys were basking in the sunshine with our motorhome parked and winterized out in the snow, go figure that one out.

My husband at 1 time wanted to just buy a retirement house and I said no because then you are tied to 1 spot. We have family in Texas, Arkansas, and several other states. Plus other places we want to go to. So this year we are starting some rv traveling but not giving up our house . We still love having our home even in this winter state.
If a person likes there home and location, and can afford to keep it, that is ideal. We are out of the real estate market and that is scary,......

Wow, thank you! The truth is that most folks drift off after 10 minutes. We are already 3 times longer with our videos as compared to other channels. Besides,...we would have to edit out all the radio programs and music we listen to so we don't get a copyright strike.

Mark, been watching your videos for years. Met you last time you were at CT ( we had a Big Black Newfy ). We owned a lot at CT but sold in 2023 for 125K profit over 1.5 years. Since have sold our Dutch Star, purchased a Lot up in Petoskey, MI and buying a SuperC for winter travels. Look’s like we will be staying on the CT lot you are on this year, next year. Keep producing the Great Videos - You do a fantastic Job - and if you are ever up at Hearthside Grove, we have a place for you.

Fun video! I always enjoy Mark’s humor. We bought into a Florida Resort similar to the one you are staying in about 5 years ago. We have been staying about 6 months a year here. As we fully retire, we may want to have more flexibility and may/may not continue with our current schedule. Lots of options. Safe Travels!!

Wow... I thought that you were using a 35mm camera! That iPhone quality is very good, especially the sound. Not sure if you attached a special microphone but the sound is fine as you walk around the RV park.

PS: I found bifocal sunglasses with “reader” lenses in the lower section for sale at a sunglass booth at a boat show. Paid about $35-40 plus tax total for 2 pair a couple of years ago. They are not no-line bifocal but look great.

As an experienced dumpster diver what is the current price of aluminum for those collecting cans to recycle for money? For those who haven’t Mark and Sue, they are the same off-camera. Simply great people.

My wife and I only part time. We live full time just up the road in North Port. We like coming down to Ft Myers for lunch occasionally. We like the Bahama Breeze. That last couple that you talked to. Was their coach a Monaco Dynasty? From what I saw of it, it looks identical to ours.
That is a 2012 Newmar Dutch Star. Pat & Paul take great care of that baby! Ft Myers is a fun little town to just wander around in.

Excellent episode as usual guys! -- QUESTION -- Do you notice the wright of towing your Honda? Do you prefer it when not towing because your RV drives better or lighter? Just wondering how it drives with or without a car behind it.
On the freeway at speed, it drives better, and is more solid with the Honda attached. It is not noticeably faster with the 4800 lbs gone. The motorhome is just SLOW,....period. Some of the ease of driving with the tow vehicle OFF is psychological. You get used to watching your rear most tires during all turns.

We has started to stretch out there in the morning. I watch her while I drink coffee.
Calisthenics, body weight exercise, bands, TRX, pickleball can give a good workout and not take up much room in the coach.

What did that new battery system cost? If you don't mind.
We of course got a discount on the system for the weeks of filming & editing involved. Factoring that out, what you see in the episodes is about $30k. Remember, I replaced and relocated my old 10 year old inverter that other folks may chose NOT to do, AND I did NOT re-wire the sub-panel to run anything different than before which other folks MAY chose to do! I cannot run A/C on batteries. I didn't care about that. Every install from brand to brand, model to model, is a different challenge, and needs to be quoted. In our installation, the highest quality components were used. I don’t think anyone makes batteries as awesome as Lithonics!

Folks should always refer to the free, online PDF documents, that the Family Motorcoach Association compiles (The Dingy Towing Guides) listing all the approved cars and trucks by model and year, that you can pull behind a motorhome. I would probably NOT RECOMMEND pulling a Honda Odyssey. We are taking a chance,….we have a lot of money on the line with the faceplate mod and Air Force 1 Braking Mod. We paid top dollar to get an extremely low mileage 2013 EX-L, (about 23k miles) so the transmission was in as good a shape as possible. Are you willing to risk this like we have?
We corresponded with someone on irv2.com in June of 2017 that was pulling a 5 speed Honda 2013 Odyssey for over 25k miles. This prompted us to “go for it!” He has since (about 1 year ago, had a trans failure.) He maintains he thinks it was NOT related to towing it. He liked his Honda enough he put a rebuilt trans in! We love our Honda and will do the same if we have an issue. WE CHANGE THE TRANS FLUID every year!
We needed to pull a garage for our expensive bikes! After many conversations, WE DECIDED TO TAKE A CHANCE, AND PULL ONE AS WELL. We tow a 2013 EX-L Honda Odyssey. This is the latest year model (2013), and highest trim level (EX-L) model you can THEORETICALLY tow. Honda DOES NOT recommend towing it. Yes, I know, you are not supposed to tow it! Honda decided it wasn't worth the warranty claims of damaged Odyssey transmissions when NOT shifted into neutral following the EXACT instructions they provided way back in 2004.
(YOU MUST SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL FROM DRIVE ONLY, NOT FROM REVERSE!)
They gave up on the Odyssey towing public, because of this Odyssey peculiarity and said you can’t do it. I corresponded with a few other brave souls that had over 20,000 miles towed on their Odysseys before I was man enough to do it.
We have PULLED it about 50,000 miles since June of 2017, and we have DRIVEN it 70,000 miles. SO FAR, SO GOOD.
The 2013 Honda Odyssey Touring was a 6 speed, and CAN NOT be towed. In 2014, EVERYTHING went to 6 speed. You can search for the Honda Vin number decoder on the internet to make certain your Honda is a 5 speed to see if you would be OK. Any other years you would want to buy, you would want to research the internet and vin # to make sure you are not buying another 6 speed! We liked our (2) 2015 6 speed Honda Odysseys so much, that we sold them to get our (1) 2013 5-speed Odyssey. We are Full Time, and just need one car now. YOU DO NOT NEED ANY ADDED LUBE PUMPS!
THIS IS THE TOWING PROCEDURE WE USE,…….EASY AS PIE,…..
It has been simplified, directly from the 2004 Honda Odyssey towing instructions, which is the last year they "allowed" towing. The "PV1A Transmission” is the ONLY Honda Odyssey Automatic transmission you can tow, IF YOU FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS from Honda back in 2004 when they allowed the PV1A to be towed. It MUST be this 5-speed transmission. I left in a lot of the Honda legal jargon at the end just for your info.
• Start the engine and get it to operating temperature. (I am usually still packing something up.)
• Press on the brake pedal. Shift the lever through all the positions (P,R,N,D,2,1).
• Then shift up from 1, 2, Shift to D, then to N. DO NOT GO INTO REVERSE! Let the engine run for at least three minutes, then turn off engine. THIS IS THE KEY, AND THE ABSOLUTE ISSUE THAT MUST BE FOLLOWED. SHIFTING TO NEUTRAL FROM REVERSE WILL SET YOU UP FOR PROBLEMS, AND/OR TRANSMISSION FAILURE. How many times you can do it wrong, I don't know. I am absolutely vigilant on this procedure. You must shift to neutral from DRIVE.
• Make sure parking brake is OFF.
• Leave the ignition switch in ACCESSORY (1) so the steering wheel does not lock. Make sure the radio and any items plugged into the accessory power sockets are turned off, so you do not run down the battery. (Our tow electric cord has a trickle charger line to keep the battery from going dead. We have an SMI Air Force One brake system,.......Honda is around 4,600 lbs. loaded.)
If you travel more than 8 hours in one day (including stopping time), you must stop and repeat the above procedures.
NOTICE:
The steering system can be damaged if the steering wheel is locked. Always leave the key in the ACCESSORY (1) position to prevent damage to the steering system when towing behind another vehicle.
CAUTION:
Severe automatic transmission damage will occur if the car is shifted from reverse to neutral and then towed with the drive wheels on the ground.
NOTICE:
Improper towing preparation will damage the transmission. Follow the above procedure exactly. If you cannot shift the transmission or start the engine, your vehicle must be on a flatbed truck or trailer.
If you tow a Honda/Acura vehicle with automatic transmission, the fluid must be changed every two years or 30,000 miles, whichever comes first.
Although experience has shown that the Honda/Acura transmission and powertrain are capable of being "motorhome towed", America Honda does not assume responsibility for any vehicle damage or liabilities incurred due to the towing device, towing vehicle, lighting hookup, or other towing equipment or towing procedures; any responsibility for these items is assumed by the owner/operator.

I'm tempted but its a bit heavy for our Class C though we do have the Godzilla engine and have 7000lbs free clearance til GCVWR. We have Lectric bikes and they fit nicely in our 2007 Chevy HHR which is a fantastic toad. Cheers to you
