Inclusive ainda hoje. Yeah!
I added a comment on FB regarding names very old people might have. I posted "Gladys." My smart ass son posted, "Judy is an old persons name." Arrg! So I went in search of songs with my name and found this one. And I love it!
Am I the only one who hears strains of a post Rotten Pistols influence here - and a Pretty Vacant styled guitar lick ?? Ramones have a lovable quality about them.🙂
@@leolongtime5671 Joey was my first crush. I took a picture of me with my Rocket to Russia poster that was blacklight compatible and huge and wrote him (them) a letter back when I was about 14.. The Ramones sent me an autographed Mondo Bizzarro CD, which made me have to invest in a CD player.. my brother promptly ripped off my signed CD from me. Haven't seen it for decades..
LONG LIVE JACKIE AND JUDY
Such an underrated song. ❤

On the off chance your son or you have yet heard Judy is a Punk by the Ramones well, do so, and forever win the argument.
I love how they name drop themselves in the song.

Did you know the opening riff on Pretty Vacant was based on the piano lead from S.O.S. by ABBA?
@@jamesoakes1819James, would Glen Matlock agree as he was the principle song writer of Petty Vacant ??
@@philipjones7372 He said so himself. The influence is subtle, but it's definitely there.
@@jamesoakes1819 l might have vaguely read something about that before. Well researched, mate !👍🏼

Its like judy is a punk and beat on the brat combined lol
Why's Bruce Lee on the cover?
Oh wait that's Dee Dee.

You know it might have been me that wrote that letter..
Why’d you write it? 😂

@@mistyknesloney5708 great story. They sure loved their fans. Bloody brothers hey? Lolz
@@leolongtime5671 yeah, most of them are Mikes..
It's catchy but I'm not prepared to offer much praise beyond that. I always thought this seemed more like a Joey Ramone solo album.
