MOST POWERFUL! Milwaukee 2826 M18 FUEL 14" Top Handle Chainsaw Review

  • Since the Milwaukee Pipeline Event back in 2022, we couldn't wait to get our hands on this new Milwaukee Top Handle Chainsaw. The Milwaukee 2826 M18 FUEL 14-inch Top Handle Chainsaw has more power than we've ever seen in a top handle saw. Most top-handle chainsaws, especially 2-stroke gas saws, require you to ramp up the RPM to gain horsepower, but they have very little torque. This Milwaukee 2826 Top Handle has a ton of torque and it's extremely fast with 7,700 RPM and 50 feet per minute.

Whoa. That is some power. I've been considering the makita xgt version as I'm on that platform. But when you said this is the most powerful top handle you've tested I got me thinking. Have you tested the xgt? I'll take a look and see.
    Nice review, by the way.

two beefs I have with the milwaukee says.. I have had the 16" standard saw since right after it came out and have used it extensively even on some big ash trees. The bar studs are a weak point and I had noticed that mine seemed to not be holding tight anymore. Eventually they started spinning in the plastic. I got it apart and cleaned everything well and have epoxied the studs back into the plastic and so far they have held. The other thing is this top handle saw is a .325 pitch chain and is the only non .375 chain out of all my saws, even the smaller 8" arborist saw Milwaukee makes is .375 pitch.

This will be the one i get. I almost bought the 16" but as you said a year ago, this one was in the works.
This is about perfect for clean up and around the property.
The 360 is pretty big for just minor clean-up. Throw this one in the back of the Polaris Ranger and go.

I do have a 017 that has a bunch of hours on it and has served me well and the 360 is a pretty big girl for just clean up. After going to battery powered weedeater, blower and hedge trimmer I am a fan of the convenience of cordless. The little M12 Hatchet is actually more fun than I was expecting but it's clean up capabilities is limited.
FYI, I went with Skil 40 volt for the yard tools. The weedeater is the power head unit. I am very impressed with all three of them. The 4 amp with the weedeater has some pretty serious staying power.
      I highly recommend these.
      Thanks again for the review.

I have the M18 and like it a lot. I am gonna get this one also. We cut hedge around here, which is 3 times harder than all the oak you always see in these videos. I used to use gas powered Husqvarna's but not since I got my M18. In fact, right when I bought my my M18 I had just sent my Husqvarna to the local repair shop for a tune up, and it is there still, that was 4 years ago. told them to sell it because I didn't need that mess anymore. All I use in my M18 is the 12 amp batteries. When I get this one thats all I will use. The M18 is full of torque and cuts right through the hedge. I expect the same from this one. Milwaukee delivers and is hands down the best battery saw on the market.

At 6.20 into the video you are showing the chain brake function. The first thing I notice is that the circlip is not fully seated. While I know its is unlikely to fail, hopefully this is from being removed and reinstalled during the product review and not a production QC issue?
