    You can live for less than 2,500!! It's a great island to live on I've been here for a few decades and loving it.

    My family moved to Sicily in 2023 and love it. The cost of living in Sicily is significantly less than in the US.

    Smart move guys.
    The quality of life in Italy is vastly superior.
    We're from Canada and planning the same.
    Enough getting ripped off in North America.

      Thinking of doing the same after coming back to California last week. It's crazy what we are facing in "retirement". Just more nickle and diming people to death, and for what?? Mexico is not an option but Italy looks very inviting. I felt so connected to the earth there.

      @@phammond8155 we are in Sicily now and the grocery prices blow me away. Almost everything is half the price of prices in Missouri. We will be doing a video soon. We have just been taking a mini vacation and enjoying!

    My family and I just decided were moving to Sicily. In the next few years. My wife has family there.

    Well we have a lot in common! We are putting together an identical plan in North Carolina. My GGF is from Sicily so I'm working on citizenship and also the Visa in case I don't do the citizenship route. Look forward to following along!

    How hard was it getting citizenship through your blood line? My GGF was from Sicily, and I would like to do the same. Contact consulate? Maybe a short video explaining your experience.

      It's been a long process so far. My case has had some issues. I'm going through Italian Citizenship Assistance. Their website has a questionnaire to see if you qualify. I'll try and get a video of my experience soon. Thanks for folliwing.

    Nice video! I have dual citizenship also USA/Italian. My children automatically have Italian citizenship also but they won't give it to my wife automatically. How did your wife get the citizenship?

      She hasn't yet. We are still working on getting mine.

      @@theSicilyAdventure Thanks for the response. I got mine about 5 years ago through my father. My father became a US citizen after i was born. I'm not sure how your wife will get it. Its not automatic when you get yours, from what i understand.

      @@allborosnyc4544 she will have to take the b1 language test. She will be able to stay in Italy since we are married without getting citizenship.

      We are going to Balestrate. The people and the food are a couple of the best things.
