- Today we are finally trying pokemon radical red again last time i tried this game it didn't go so well. I tried it with normal types and did not know anything about this very competitive rom hack. I'm going to be using all of my pokemon knowledge to beat this amazing rom hack as well as my favourite pokemon swampert so let's see how i do against the improved kanto region.

I am in the middle of a normal mono type run and I beat Blaine on the first attempt lol
@@MyNamesNotMark normal is one of the easier types. In my experience dubwool and chansey are broken
@@scottvanderhorst873 so far I've done dragon, ghost, flying, and fairy before this run and this has been the easiest so far. Greedent is such a monster with its ability and counter lol. I still haven't found kangaskhan yet
@@MyNamesNotMark kangaskan is in the safari zone. I have done bug, ice, psychic, dragon, ground, normal and dark and am in the process of bug. Normal was by far the easiest. If you have questions about finding pokemon I can recommend the subreddit

zwiggo you can check all the changes that radical red gave to different mons too. You would be surprised how good the terrible mons in this game are actually pretty decent.

Seaking with swift swim and fisheous rend for instance is a monster on rain teams, and Dracovish and Dracozolt now have sand rush, also broken obviously. Magcargo gets shell smash and simple, doubling his stat increases

Radical red is the best FR rom out there. I'm still beating it with fairy types but it's still way too fun.
Trick room setups bodies a lot of the major fights
The Last Fire Red rom is also pretty great. Seems more alive, i just miss the buffed pokemon from Radical
@@cafe8681 I like it too. I find it easier there with more fixed encounter helping up and down. But sure is a Great Rom, I just find Radical better, even with the opponents using legendaries against you (the only thing I find cheap).

My favourite water type is a Quagsire. You just can't hate that guy. He's perfect

This is actually pretty easy on radical red because rain teams are broken. Swift swim fisheous rend seaking is good af. You can even run a sand team and use sand rush dracovish and some shell smashing water rock types/water ground types

Milotic has always been my favorite water type, but Radical Red actually made the seviii MIlotic and its sprite is so cool. Like credit to this rom. So well made.
Another great video as always! It would be great to see this run with steel type pokemon.

This is so cool! Im doing an Ice type only challenge and this game is so lit. I never needed to make strategies in any pokemon game until this one. This game is a gem!
You can make some incredible snow teams. Several pokemon now have slush rush. Glaceon, Arctozolt and arctovish are NUTS with fisheous rend and bolt beak always going first with the doubled hail speed
Alolan Sandslash can also have ice scales or slush rush. Ice scales halves damage from special attacks
@@calvinsimpson1301 that was exactly my strategy. 2 hail mons (abomasnow and a-ninetails) and a pure offense.
G-darm is also a beast in the team. That bad boi with a scarf can get you out of sooo many problems in the elite 4

Can we just appreciate how much time he would have to have put in to this run?!?!?
Definitely took some patience, but i believe he used a money hack to train his pokemon so it was probably a little faster than we think.
It's not too bad. Mono-water is definitely the easiest of the monos.
It took him over 77 hours look at 22:10 that’s a lot of sevens too

I'm really happy that you finally give another shot to this game, It was so much fun for me that I already did multiples runs
So I hope that you'll try other monotype on Radical Red! (Why not a normal mono type?)
My favorite water type is the Mudkip line, I can’t decide if I like Mudkip or Swampert more. I’m very glad you used one on your team!

mono fairy. I think the limited number of fairy types would make it an interesting challenge

2:38 I did the same thing with my Toxapex against this Flying-type Elite Four in Pokémon Moon and I've never felt so stupid in my 5 years of playing Pokemon
What I love about radical red is it's hard but not impossible
I used rain dance swampert with max attack and the rest of the EVs are random
It was sweaping in the league stuff it shouldn't
I prefer Maxing Out Special defense And Attacks Before Speed so he Can get so Tanky when Dealing with special attackers

I used mega sableye, ferro, drapion,dragapult,alakazam,cranidos all of them are perfect IV and EV with their best items and ability

some years back I did an emerald run with all water-types and it was one of my favorite runs ever. Tentacruel surprised the hell out of me and became my favorite water pokemon in that run. Swampert is legit tho.

I also beat radical red using only water types only recently. It was very easy run compared to other types I ran with. My ace was Mega-Garydos. It took me around 30 in game hours with resets.

Greninja from Misty's rematch would have been awesome. Especially with its ability changing its type
