Bill burr was his writer for a long time.
It's been a long standing argument with friends: I think he says "send some newports" but an alarming amount of people(even on the Interent) think he says "chicks from newport".
That argument could be easily ended with deductive logic. For instance, Chappelle used to smoke cigs, so it makes more sense that he's referring to tobacco, than to a city that just happens to share the name.

Dave is awesome - so beyond talented! And he correct as far as white people discussing politics because it can get UGLY. Not all, but the majority of black people are Democrat and so (I'm guessing) that most of the political discussions black people have are civil. But (and especially these days) when a white Republican and a white Democrat try to have a political discussion, a lot of the time it results in a shouting match and a lot of frustration. I've witnessed a few at work and I was almost in one last week but the guy I was in a debate with, is a good friend, so I was TRYING to restrain from really going off. (I'm a Democrat, he's Republican). There are a lot of white Democrats (especially women) and most Republicans are white (again, I said most, not all)... So we TRY to steer clear of the political discussions unless we know the other person is on our side politically. I always enjoy your reactions guys! :D

Black people mostly vote the same way. Makes it’s easier to talk about. When you vote to fit in with others you don’t have to worry about disagreements. No other race votes one way like that. Even Hispanics are like 60/40. Blacks are like 85/15 and sometimes over 90/10. Who knows why but it makes it much easier when the odds on someone disagreeing with you is very low.
