  • NEW : Adria Adora Isonzo 2021 Caravan
    We review the new Adora Isonzo for 2021, and make a comparison to our 2018 model. This is a four berth 8ft wide caravan on a single axle. It is one of the longest caravans available in the UK and offers a side island bed and rear bathroom.
    Watch the vlog to find out more.
    This vlog was filmed in a sterile environment when the dealership was closed to the public. Due to this a mask was not required to be worn and the Isonzo was sanitised after our filming.

    • @HereWeTow
      @HereWeTow  Před 3 lety

      Hi Mark and Coral, twin axle caravans are quite unique to the UK. In Europe they don’t tend to move to a twin until they move over 9 metres long or over 2000kg. Adria have put the Sava on a twin axle to satisfy the UK buyers who look for the twin. The bonus of a big caravan on a single axle is you can still manoeuvre it by hand and a single AlKo wheel lock is much easier. 😊👍 I hope you are okay and staying safe, sadly no touring for a while now. Thanks for watching 😊Karina

    Now DAT IS GAWJUS! I love this. A couple of things for me but not a worry is that the blue stripe on the outside will “date” after the first year and also they could have used sparkly particle board in the toilet! ( not brothel like!). That purple cushion is dire darling I’d find a hedge for that! Other than that it’s a main contender for my retirement money! Plenty of space oh and I would replace that crappy dividing screen with a beautiful curtain on a nice rod! There we have it. Only the best for Peter West! Cheers! Thank you both as ever! I love some of the new design elements and dislike a few others. That new front locker is awesome and especially being so wide and without the lip is a real bonus. The new sink in the bathroom is a huge improvement and the addition of more USB points is very welcome too. I'm not so keen on the use of different colour woods, especially on the wardrobe having the split design and I really miss the illuminated splash back in the kitchen. I wish also that they had kept the microwave above the sink rather than move it above the hob. You can definitely see where the extra length has helped especially with the table storage. Another great review though and fantastic to get an in depth look to see how the range is evolving.

      Thanks Dan, as a previous owner I was keen to see the 2021 model. I like the different colours on the cupboards but agree about the split wardrobe doors. The biggest disappointment is the lack of increased worktop space. I like the new sink too. I would certainly still stick with the Adora range if we were buying again. The added payload is good but only if you have the car to tow it safely. Thanks for watching 😊Karina

    Thank you for the review Karina. We are seriously considering changing our Coachman for the Isonzo, despite having only had the Coachman for a short time. We are planning to visit a dealer this next week to have a viewing of the caravan. The storage, lighting, colour scheme and general airiness appeals to us! And our cushions will transfer nicely👍😁. Just one question please....how do you move the bed downwards from it’s upright position? 🤔

    • @HereWeTow
      @HereWeTow  Před 3 lety

      Thanks Polly, the Isonzo is certainly worth going to see to get an idea of how it feels to you. There is also the Tiber coming early next year. That has a rear island bed. The bed lowers by lifting the head and it releases the mechanism so the mattress is flat. Each side works independently. To extend the bed it slides out from the bottom. It’s a good idea to go have a look to get a good idea. Check they have a 2021 in stock for you to look at. If you’re anywhere near Cara where we filmed this they have one and they do a 5 year habitation warranty too. Thanks for watching 😊 Karina

Thank you also for the advice on the Tiber etc., much appreciated and we have given that some serious thought. It may be worth our waiting for that one to be released before we make a final decision. Oh, and we’ve checked with the dealer and they definitely have a 2021 Isonzo in stock👍😁(Unfortunately Cara are over 2 hours from us and not being in ‘normal’ times, makes the travelling a bit tricky at the mo.😬). Ah well...roll on 2021😊

    Hi Karina, does the length of the caravan include the A Frame and hitch or is the 8.23m length just the body of the van only? My car's 'revenue weight' is 2350kg (under 3500kg) so does that mean I wouldn't be able to tow it? Many thanks 😊

    • @HereWeTow
      @HereWeTow  Před 3 lety +1

      Hello David, yes it is the total length including A Frame , the body length is below 7m to comply with UK law around towing lengths. If you car has a revenue weight of 2350kg I take it that is the Gross Vehicle Mass. You need to make sure you cars kerb weight is at least 95% of the MTPLM of the caravan. This is to make sure it is a suitable match and several caravan insurance companies have that stipulation too in the small print. You need to check the max your car can legally tow, towcar.info is a good site to use for a free match checker. You will also need B+E on your licence for this combination. Thank you for watching and if you need any advice we are here to help 😊👍 Karina

      @@HereWeTow Hi Karina, many thanks for the info, it has been very useful. As we are 'newbies' I didn't find many suitable vans that would be recommended for me to tow with our car, only recommended for the more experienced! If I'm honest our preference is a campervan conversion because they look fairly easy to drive/manoeuvre and are nice and short, but look a bit compromised for room (which is why we revisited the caravan option!) Having watched your video again where you said you didn't really miss the space in your new motorhome we have just about dismissed the towing option! Just out of interest what are your thoughts on van conversions (eg Elddis CV40/CV80)? Thanks again for your help, we really enjoy your very informative videos 👍👍🙂!!

    • @HereWeTow
      @HereWeTow  Před 3 lety +1

      😂 It is a minefield that is for sure! A van conversion makes for an easy getaway and offers a good payload. There are so many to consider too, Autotrail have the new Expedition which is very well priced. Sun Living offer a well built van for the money and Swift and Roller Team have some good offerings too. These are all going to be similar price to the Elddis. Go and visit several dealerships and see how they feel for you, it will probably be that you look for one thing and find something else totally different. We have a few van reviews from last year which might give you a few ideas. Andrew Ditton has also done a good van review too. Swift Go offer a hire which would allow you to see how you get on with a van or motorhome before spending your money. 😊👍 Karina

    • @HereWeTow
      @HereWeTow  Před 3 lety

      Morning, no the Isonzo would be too heavy as a match for the Skoda and it exceeds the tow ball limit of the car. A safe match for this caravan is a car with a kerb weight of 2000kg and above which would be a large SUV type or pick up. Thanks for watching 😊 Karina

  • @glenhall8079

    Can anybody tell me what the best towing suv would be for the weight, many thanks

    • @HereWeTow
      @HereWeTow  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Glen, you would need a SUV with a kerb weight of at least 2000kg as the 2021 Isonzo is 1900kg MTPLM. Even at 2000kg you will be at a 95% match. You will need a noseweight limit of at least 100kg on the vehicle. Any large SUV should be capable of this such as X5, Volvo XC90, VW Touareg, Land Rover Discovery and Defender and Ssangyong Rexton and most of the pick up trucks such as Navara, Amarok and Ranger. The Isonzo is a great caravan to tow but these are heavy and long caravans so a tow car match is essential. I hope that helps 😊 Karina

Most Dutch people buy a German caravan, because they are good and easy to find (and have the door on the right side....). It's almost naturally. Most dealers sell German caravans only. I'm curious what the Brexit will do with the continental prices of British caravans? I think nowadays only Sprite makes caravans for the continental market (Swift is here sold as Sprite).
