When she said she was assaulted and then ended up HIV positive... omg. I teared up. Its already bad enough being assaulted but to find out you have to live with something because of a forced interaction is just so awful. I am so happy she was able to find herself in her art and she is absolutely AMAZING!

yall calm down, its common for people who use certain pronouns, like he/him to use another set, (like she/her) when in drag, it's not the first time its happened. its literaly just pronouns, its not the end of the world if you use the wrong ones; just politely bring it up, correct yourself or the other and kindly move on.

That's just something that happens organically. Art gives people so much meaning and purpose to people's lives. People to turn to art during hard times because they want to express how they're feeling in a way that conveys or captures a feeling. It indirectly projects a message to a large audience. I think it's beautiful in a way because you can turn a bad experience into something great.
I have never thought about it like that. I'm a creative but I find it really difficult to unlock my potential, I must have a lot of trauma healing to do lol

I love this person so much. My heart sank when he was talking about being assaulted and dealing with HIV that must be horrible. I have been assaulted and I remember being mortified of getting any sexually transmitted diseases. My heart goes out to him, and I really dig the creativity. Just all around this is a good person.

It kind of is. Vogue has gotten more boring over the years even though they do push the envelope with fashion. There’s something very contrived about The tactics that they use to push the envelope. You can tell when somebody is actually creative and not just copying off of somebody or regurgitating somebody else’s ideas.

I’m obsessed with the looks and the story, such a strong human
Oh my Lord. When (s)he started talking about the assault, my heart jumped to my throat. There is immense bravery in talking so candidly about such a horrific, violating ordeal, and then to be diagnosed with HIV as a result just adds a whole new level of trauma. I do hope (s)he's getting professional help as well, but so very happy that drag has been a personal outlet for them, and has helped with healing.

Charity is one of the nicest queen's, all of the cast of s3 are. I went to see them live and went to the meet and greet, very nervous as it was mu first drag show. Absolutely incredible

i do makeup that most people in my life consider to be “extreme” and this series brings me so much joy. not only to find people like me but i find new inspirations. when charity said how they love dressing up everyday cause any day they don’t feels like a miss opportunity, they summed up my days perfectly. when i don’t get all dressed up it means i’m truly not myself. i love this series please keep them coming vogue 💕

I appreciate you talking about your experience not only for the drag community but for the LGBTQ community and men. These areas are often overlooked as far as being victims of assault, but they absolutely can be. As a woman who went through multiple scarring experiences too, I’ve seen the LGBTQ community, people of colour & men suffering, but not given the same treatment or therapy as women. That has taught me to always speak up for the little voices throughout my life. Whether it’s for more rights or personal expression, we can all be encouraging and strengthen the voices that go unheard. I appreciate you opening up & sharing your art.
