  • Nigeria's government has repeatedly said it has defeated Boko Haram.
Yet after more than 10 years of fighting the armed group, violence is on the rise in the northeast.
Boko Haram is suspected of being behind an attack on Saturday that's described as the most violent on civilians this year.
The UN says at least 110 people were killed in the assault on farmers in rice fields near Borno State's capital Maiduguri.
So what's been done to fight Boko Haram?
    And can it be defeated?

Nigerian army was at a point to end boko haram back in 2014, They used a PMC called execitive outcomes, the leader of EO said they where ready to launch an oporation to rescue the girls and end boko haram, but no, US puppet president had to end the opperation and get in UN and US mil to solve the problem, we can see how that turned out. You cant fight the same way you do in US and europe in africa, fight the african way. EO knows how to fight in africa, most of EO are veterans of old militarises of rhodesia and apartheid ZA. And yeah there is politics and corpos part of the whole thing making mils of money selling weapons to both sides. Best way to solve the problem is to get out all these international companies who is obviosly there to make money by any means necessary. And get African nations to assist in the anialation of boko haram and other warlords. The Gov want to solve the issue as a saw but everything they do are ineffective because there military cant face boko haram. But yeah all this is hot air until someone does something and speak out in Nigeria.

So yeah, Those politicians (who are of the Hausa Tribe) is pocketing our tax money and letting the rest of the population of Nigeria suffer. Yes, they (the Hausa Tribes) are in collusion with each other. It makes sense, the Hausa tribe and their region is ruled by Sharia Law just like the Boko Haram is ruled by Sharia Law. Since I am non-heterosexual (Bisexual) like the many others that live in Nigeria, why should I trust a president and his officials who are of the tribe that rules by sharia law that we should die and on top of that throw us in prison for 10 years?

God deals with nations according to their conduct toward Him. It is evident from the many declarations of His word, and from the history of His providence. When king Asa was returning in triumph to Jerusalem, after his signal victory over the vast Ethiopian army, Azariah the prophet was sent forth to meet hi, and directed by God not to salute him with adulation, but with this solemn message: Hear me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; the Lord is with you while ye be with Him; and if ye seek Him, He will be found of you; but if ye forsake Him, he will forsake you. Admirable address to a mighty conqueror when entering his capital in triumph! It is my prayer that the palaces and triumphal arches of all potentates of the earth might resound with this warning voice. Do you hear me Buhari? Citizens are equally guilty of electing thieves/liars to rule over them. See how some of them sit at the feet of wanton, 'community husbands', scamming, thieves and fraudsters parading as leaders in the church. hmm.

Look what is happening in Ethiopia now. The Ethiopian government is fighting the enemy simultaneously at war front and their collaborators within the Government and deserters. The Ethiopian government has successfully maintained law and order just under three weeks in the Tigray region.
The Ethiopians, of course do have a strong leader who won the Nobel Peace Prize 2019. The Ethiopian Prime Minister Dr. Abiy has the full support of the Ethiopian people.
He even rejected to negotiate with these as he said “ Juntas enemy of the country which all Ethiopians proud of his decision. After all which government is ready to negotiate with terrorist organizations.
So. the Nigerian government should first clear the collaborators of Boko Haram in every government and military structures. The should ask some help or advice from Ethiopia.

The Nigerian Government has got the capacity to defeat Boko Haram as it is in less than 3 years.
The population of Boko Haram fighters is not up to one-third of the Nigerian Army alone.
Boko Haram knows that the Government is corrupt and taking advantage of that loophole. Even some government officials are benefiting from the funding of the war.
A lot of times we have seen Soldiers complain about poor conditions of equipments, limited ammunition and poor welfare.
Even quiting the force is difficult than entering now.
Nigeria doesn't need the international community to help fight it's insecurity problems.
Majority of The Political Leaders are not competent and committed, but are just there to enrich themselves, so they care less about the troops and even the impoverished people so long as they themselves are secure in the most beautiful parts of the country.

This Nigerian analyst obviously has no Sociology or International Relations backgrounds. I checked him out on his LinkedIn account; he has his backgrounds in Optometric before dabbling into Security issues. He lacks deep understanding and ability to model the security problems in this theatre of conflict from the lens of Security and Sociology discourse . With all these quacks parading themselves around as experts, Nigeria will never break this cycle of violence. He just keeps annoyingly repeating the other guest words and memorised popular narratives which are mostly recycled knowledge. He emphasises too much on kinetic solution like most Nigerians dream as if there is a silver bullet solution to a problem of humans created over decades. It will take a lot of Social, Political and Technological investments in Nigeria to reduce Terrorism. Nigeria doesn’t have the technological structure to first know who is a Nigerian or not in most part of the North. No Birth and death registration system, No National ID card System, the Criminal Justice Administration system is weak and selective, border control is deliberately weakened in the Northern frontier cos of historical ties across the Northern frontiers, Population explosion is there , unemployment, mass illiteracy just to mention a few. Until the law in Nigeria raises the cost of certain criminal actions inside the Nigerian territory. People will be attracted to the lawlessness of Nigeria to perpetuate crimes. The root cause of most Nigerian problems is the weak Criminal Justice System. The cost of terrorism in Nigeria is way far cheaper than any other Country in the Sahel and West Africa. In fact , crime pays big in Nigeria. Raise the cost and remove the incentives.

Nigeria's military get a budget of about 2 to 3 billion USD yearly. There is also the possibility of special withdrawals for boko haram war objectives.. the govt makes this withdrawals from the crude oil account in New York. This has been done twice to the tune of 2 billion USD (2014 and 2018) and is extra budgetary. Boko haram is the most prominent cost center in Nigerian security operations. Procurement wise, this means a lot of action money-wise.
A country that has made more than 500 billion USD from oils ales cant boast of a solid educational or environmental infrastructure, but can keep giving generals billions and making politicians and their cronies wealthy beyond reason. Some of them have offshore holdings worth the size of small African nations. All corrupt and ruthless individuals. Accountability and not AID should be the approach when dealing with resourced countries like Nigeria or Angola.

The preparation of their bodies is so tender and loving. The white dressings and the carriage the bodies are placed on show such great care for the poor souls. RIP and I pray for some relief of the hatred.
