We are now in April, 2022. Is Guatemala City still considered dangerous? There is a large diplomatic community there.

Wow I didn’t know is it safe to travel to Guatemala in 2022 with Families I was thinking to travel alone but I don’t think it’ safe to travel alone but is it safe to travel with families.
I understand what you mean and you absolutely make a good point. Just remember that families are more vulnerable to pickpockers, as parents are often occupied with their children.

Kc Mindset: It’s all relative. Guatemala isn’t really a party all night country in general, but Antigua has a set of bars and a few nightclubs - the pool party is very popular. Lake Atitlán usually has one go to-place each night and quite a few bars.
Guatemala city probably has some solid nightlife ... but I wouldn’t know!
