Something to note: The game has been very consistent with releasing new sets every 3 months. The season, holidays do not matter nor hold much strategy for determining their release. The game released in the west on Dec. 8th. Therefore, the anniversary set will ALWAYS release in December provided they stick to this 1 set every 3 months release cadence.
They are trying to catch up on the japanese release since the competition is world wide.
@@rsato4605 with them releasing new sets every 3 months (with no deviation) on the east and west there has been no indication of a catch up. The game will always be 4 monthish apart from east to west. No official announcement has been made about a catch up either.
I don’t know why there is such a big push to keep getting new cards so soon. They literally put out a new box every 3-4 months. They’re going to run out of ideas before too long and then the game is going to drop off. If anything there should just be a lot more events and ways to win cards. I think the event setups are shit. I’m perfectly happy with the amount of NEW we get in a year. Waiting 3-4 months is just fine. It’s just having product in stores that’s a real issue.
Pokemon does this and they are bigger then ever, every tcg has a new set every 3 month with special sets here and there in between. keeps the meta fresh and you can just skip sets you don't like.
@@dmillionaireTV and that’s understood and I don’t have a problem with how it is. His comment of nothing coming out from December to march though is what I’m talking about. Like it’s a problem that there’s nothing between. Pokémon has also been around forever now and and at this point has at least 700 “different” pokemon. One piece only has so many characters and there’s only going to be so many ways you can slice it. It is not the same. I hope they have a good plan for the longevity of the card game because I really love it and I’m more than willing to spend the money.
I agree I hope they get more product out bc in Na there is such a probly with the supply and I'm in ny n u would think there be a offline event that we could drive to but the closest one in 8 n 1/2 hrs away. I did play in a decent amount of online events but I'd rather be sitting across from some one n the game is better in person
@@burnsblunts that’s crazy. I’m actually going to take the test to be a judge. My shop here in Florida wants to put on regional events but we need at least 2 people to be judges to qualify to put on events. I think that could be one problem on top of maybe shops not wanting to try and put on events other than their locals
It would be cool if op09 has 4 manga rares, 1 for each emperor if theres a new character card for each.
There has to be at least 4 secret rares of the four yonkos, and then we have the manga rares of them.

You should have mentioned that with the starter decks you get a PRB-01 Booster. So a couple weeks before the release!

Definitely buying a case of the premium booster and locking it away for awhile lol that Nami Manga is going to make it one of the most expensive sets to hold.
Yes it will be an expensive set but not because of the nami. The nami will help, but it’s not the reason it’ll be that good.
@veliserbet6248 I know the set will be good, I'm just saying long term wise the Nami will play a huge part in what makes this set become insanely expensive.
For me personally its way too much new product being released way too quickly. It doesn't give people enough of a break wallet wise and then theres the supply issue. I'd be fine with only 3 sets a year and starter decks throughout seeing as they contain exclusive cards only for the most part.
If supply weren't an issue, then I'd be fine with them releasing as much product as they like but thats not the case. I'm actually leaning more towards just buying singles for the decks I want to play since trying to keep up isn't viable anymore. Lgs are taking advantage of their customers and when you do find one that sells at a good price, they never have enough. I know that for competetive players opening packs doesn't matter but for those of us that want to collect and play, it makes it really difficult to do so.
One piece is fun to collect but its so hard for me to choose to stick to either english or Japanese
If you’re trying to just go for pulls just buy Japanese. However a large chunk of people that open packs also play the tcg. And for that English is a must. So it depends on whether you want to play the game/ join a tournament, which is highly recommend (it’s fun)
If you join a tournament, you need to stick to the language of cards BANDAI assigned for your region. This is the only thing that will hold you back on buying the English deck.

It's fine in Japan where they are 550¥ (or 2.5x the price of a normal 6 card pack). But on top of that here is the event for it.
You get a 1 of the 6 decks randomly assigned to play with, it's a bit like the Uta deck event from earlier in the year.
Which kind of screws you over from knowing what you need to buy/pre-order.
The game started with 4 at once so it's not much different.
I agree it's a lot as it'll be at least $150+ if you can get it at MSRP. Knowing that most LGS will be taking advantage though, it might end up being even more like $200 for most.
Japan pays around $6 for a deck so I don't understand why we're paying almost double the price they pay. I understand that these come with a PRB pack as well, but orevious starter decks didn't and they were still the same price. I also like that Japan has smaller box sizes as well. I'd be all for paying less if it meant smaller boxes, less waste.
In a way I'm happy they are building decks for new players but having cards init that current players need as well I just hope they print enough.
They should delay releasing op10 a month and a half for the east and advance it a month and a half for the west to catch up the meta for global releases
