EDIT I ended up using op05 images so thought it's best to mention the oda signed luffy card. Again just like the manga rare this isn't per case. So apply the same sort of unknown odds that you could hit it in 1 case but it could take a few!

Slight correction! It seems to only ever be 7 SRs not 7-8 per booster box!

I started working in a hobby shop and recently learned that A Manga is every 6-8 cases
Which is what makes it such a living hell apparently for shop owners since the rates are so slim

First time ever ripping One Piece. Found three boxes at a local card shop (I was in there to buy football cards). All three booster boxes were on sale. I bought one and went home with it. Three packs in, pulled a Luffy Manga!!

makes sense. Pulled a Hody Jones Alt Leader and proceeded to Pull a Rebecca SP from a JP OP o6 box
Good to know. I pulled a Kaido SEC and the signed Monkey.D.Luffy from a box with just 5 packs! I’ve put the remaining 19 packs on vinted for £70 disclosing I pulled the above cards from the box for transparency. Tempted to just rip open the remaining packs to see if there’s a 3rd hit inside now, though feel like I’ve already used up all my luck!
Dam congrats on the signed luffy!! Yeh that’s probably pretty tempting but also you’ve hit such a huge card it might not matter haha

At the time of writing this I just started opening my first ever box of One Piece, its OP-5 and 4 packs in there’s an alt leader which means I now have a 50% chance at an SP 🤞will update if I got one and who my leader is

So the Japanese pull rates are halved but the english cards are more valuable or am i missing something guys?
Japanese sealed is cheaper along with less packs per box so it probably works out the same in terms of the amount of hits you get per cost 😊
Hey have you opened any cases since the reprints? I've grabbed a couple from OPs 05/06/07 and the hit combinations are all over the place now.

3x AAL + SP(yes 3 SPs and 5 Alt Leaders in one case)

No major hit

2x AAL + SP
2x AAL + 2 AA

No major hit
OP06 Case 1

1x SP + AA + SEC(yep only 1 SP in this case)

5x AA + SEC(double checked every pack to make sure but no 3rd hit in these 5 boxes)

I have not and thanks for the info! I was just thinking since they changed the rates a bit after 05 maybe they made them the same but it sounds like yours were ALL over the place. All I can think of is maybe the reprints were rushed out, very strange!

I have a question, what about the chinese ver of OPCG? do they have more chances on getting manga or just same same as the other ver?
I'm sorry I'm not sure, I've not opened any Chinese but at a guess I'd imagine it's probably similar to JP rates?

afaik for 01 - 05 it should always be with a alt art leader. The rates and config changed slightly from 06 onwards

So a SP is rarer than an Alt Leader. That's good to know. Is a Treasure Rare rarer than a SP?
From 06 onwards the rates changed slightly. Treasure Rare is typically 1 per case
