  • We take a look around the ever-growing Koenigsegg factory in Ängelholm, Sweden, now building the Agera RS, a limited run of 25 cars and gearing up to commence production of the hybrid megacar, the Regera.
    I'm joined by the company founder, Christian von Koenigsegg, who still to this day has a vast knowledge and understanding of his cars and the engineering processes that go into creating them, for a look around the facility. From the production line with Agera RS models moving through, to the development of Regera, and how the cars start out initially with carbon fibre processes.
    This is a particularly special and rare opportunity to look behind the doors in this much detail, so a huge thanks must go to the Koenigsegg team for making it possible. I'll also be getting fully under the skin of the Regera, so stay tuned!
    Thanks for watching, Tim

      The thing is. As big as Ferrari has become worldwide and besides the racing history it just seems to me whoever runs the company now is just arrogant and from my pov they're absolute garbage products. The new 812 superfast which I recently saw in person looks absolutely horrible it's like a corvette had sex with a viper. Compared to the F12 Berlinetta which has much more aggressive and better lines minus the taillights even tho everything has a purpose? The average owner doesn't give a shit about performance and top speed it's more of just for looks and status. I could go on and on not to mention that I do work on alot of these cars too in my shop. When Enzo himself was in charge it just seemed to me like his designs were much better and really tailored to everyone for example you look at the iconic F40 or 512 Testarossa and you know right away what it is and it's a car that not many ppl dislike. Anyways to me this is what Christian Von Koegnisseg is like he literally cares about ppl and clients, the way he mentions and build things is for ppl who understand plus his awesome personality he is definitely not a selfish arrogant person in this industry

      +Art Vandelay John Hennessy doesn't know his dick from his balls when it comes to cars, or i shall say internal combustion engines. There is a man named Ed Curtis, owner of Flowtech Induction, whom has probably forgotten more than most people in the industry will ever even learn. He flies wayyy under the radar to most consumers, but people 'in' the industry know all about him as he is a go-to-guy for most manufactures when it comes to the engines and more specifically heads and cams i.e. moving air. Be it street cars or race cars EdC has done the so-called impossible and then some. Dare i say that performance and how cars make power wouldn't be where it is today had it not been for him.

    • @SINIS0RSA
      @SINIS0RSA Před 8 lety +2

      +ThatGuyNamedScott. C The biggest reason to polish a F1-car is to make the air flow cleaner -> more effective aerodynamics.

    • @eedesign878
      @eedesign878 Před 8 lety +1

      +Niklas Maybe more effective ground effect aka negative wing effect is what you meant. There is reason why golf ball has those dimples, it has better aerodynamics. Actually mythbusters tested that on a car, they made huge dimples from heavy clay, and even while the car was lot heavier, it did save fuel with them on.

    • @SINIS0RSA
      @SINIS0RSA Před 8 lety +2

      +Erik Eriksson Just no. Trust me I know what I'm talking about (mech. engineer). Cleaner aerodynamic surfaces produce more downforce (F1-car) or lift (planes etc.) than dirty surfaces. Please read about differences between drag and downforce (or lift). You were also talking about the ground effect. F1-cars don't really employ 'ground effect' anymore. However IndyCars do employ 'ground effect'.

    I say this every time I've ever watched anything to do with Christian von Koenigsegg and/or Koenigsegg, the man is an absolute genius and innovator of the motor car industry, he keeps setting standards that most other prestige car company's could only dream of coming close to pulling off. He just comes across as someone so genuine and extremely passionate about his work but somehow stay level headed about it all. There's a good reason why Koenigsegg is my all time favorite car manufacturer and I know they've only been around for a lil while but they are a work of art, from the smallest detail to the orgasmic sound of that 5lt twin turbo V8. Thank you very much Tim for bringing us all an excellent video, then again anything with Mr Koenigsegg is excellent in my mind lol.
